     John Erskine, 19th/2nd Earl of Mar was born in 1562.² He was the son of John Erskine, 18th/1st Earl of Mar and Annabel Murray.³ He married, firstly, Anne Drummond, daughter of David Drummond, 2nd Lord Drummond and Lilias Ruthven, between 29 October 1580 and 1 November 1580.¹ He married, secondly, Lady Mary Stuart, daughter of Esmé Stuart, 1st Duke of Lennox and Catherine de Balsac, on 7 December 1592.¹ He died on 14 December 1634 at Stirling, Stirlingshire, Scotland^G.¹ He was buried on 7 April 1635 at Stirling, Stirlingshire, Scotland^G.
     He succeeded as the 7th Lord Erskine [S., 1438] on 28 October 1572.³ He succeeded as the 2nd Earl of Mar [S., 1565] on 28 October 1572.³ He succeeded as the 19th Earl of Mar [S., c. 1115] on 28 October 1572.³ He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) [Scotland] in 1577.¹ In 1582 he was invovled in the Raid of Ruthven, and hence was banished in January 1583/4.³ In March 1583/84 he returned to Scotland and briefly held Stirling Castle until he was obliged to escape south to England.³ In August 1584 he was stripped of his honours by Parliament.³ In December 1585 his titles and lands were restored when he won back King James’ favour.³ He held the office of Scottish Ambassador to England in 1601.³ He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) in 1603.³ He was appointed Knight, Order of the Garter (K.G.) in 1603.¹ On 27 March 1604 King James VI granted him the lands of the Priory of Inchmahome and Abbeys of Dryburgh and Cambuskenneth together with the Lordship of Cardross.¹ In 1610 however even this legal instrument appears to have lacked the validity of the charter of 1606 in creating the Lordship of Parliament of Cardross, hence the necessity for the latter instrument.¹ He was created 1st Lord Cardross [Scotland] on 10 June 1610, with special remainder to his heirs male and assignees whatsoever.¹ He held the office of Constable and Justiciar of brechin in 1613.³ He held the office of High Treasurer of Scotland between 1616 and 1630.³ On 31 January 1617 under the special remainder of the Lordship of Cardross, he nominated as heir Henry, his 2nd son (by his 2nd wife), and the heirs male of the latter’s body.¹ He was Collector of General Taxaton in 1619.³ He held the office of High Treasurer [Scotland].

     Reverend Sir Erasmus Borrowes, 8th Bt. was born on 21 September 1799 at Portarlington, County Laois, Ireland^G.² He was the son of Sir Erasmus Dixon Borrowes, 6th Bt. and Henrietta de Robillard Champagné.² He married Harriet Hamilton, daughter of Henry Hamilton and Mary Wetherall, in March 1825. He died on 27 May 1866 at age 66 at Lauragh, County Laois, Ireland^G.²
     He was the Rector at Ballyroan, County Laois, Ireland^G.² He succeeded as the 8th Baronet Borrowes, of Grangemellon, co. Kildare [I., 1646] on 7 March 1834.²

     Wentworth Canning Blackett Beaumont, 1st Viscount Allendale was born on 2 December 1860 at Bywell Hall, Stockfields-on-Tyne, Northumberland, England^G.¹ He was the son of Wentworth Blackett Beaumont, 1st Baron Allendale and Lady Margaret Anne de Burgh.¹ He was baptised on 8 March 1861 at Piccadilly Terrace, London, England^G.¹ He married Lady Alexandrina Louise Maud Vane-Tempest, daughter of George Henry Robert Charles William Vane-Tempest, 5th Marquess of Londonderry and Mary Cornelia Edwards, on 12 November 1889.² He died on 12 December 1923 at age 63 at London, England^G.¹ He was buried on 23 December 1923 at Bretton Park, Yorkshire, England^G.²
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G, in 1884 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G, in 1888 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Liberal) for Northumberland, Hexham Division between 1895 and 1907.¹ He held the office of Vice-Chamberlain of the Household between 1905 and 1907.¹ He held the office of Captain of the Yeoman of the Guard between 1907 and 1911.¹ He succeeded as the 2nd Baron Allendale, of Allendale and Hexham, co. Northumberland [U.K., 1906] on 13 February 1907.¹ He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) on 7 May 1907.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)³ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)³ He held the office of a Lord-in-Waiting between 1911 and 1916.² He gained the title of 1st Viscount Allendale, of Allendale and Hexham, co. Northumberland [U.K.] on 2 July 1911.²

     Lady Sophia Ruthven was the daughter of William Ruthven, 1st Earl of Gowrie and Dorothea Stewart.^1,2 She married Ludovic Stuart, 2nd Duke of Lennox, son of Esmé Stuart, 1st Duke of Lennox and Catherine de Balsac, circa 1586.² She died circa June 1590.²
     After her marriage, Lady Sophia Ruthven was styled as Duchess of Lennox circa 1586. From circa 1586, her married name became Stuart.²

     Jean Campbell was the daughter of Sir Matthew Campbell of Loudoun and Isabel Drummond.^2,1 She married, firstly, Robert Montgomerie, son of Hugh Montgomerie, 3rd Earl of Eglinton and Agnes Drummond.³ She married, secondly, Ludovic Stuart, 2nd Duke of Lennox, son of Esmé Stuart, 1st Duke of Lennox and Catherine de Balsac, circa August 1598.³ She died before 15 December 1610.³
     Her married name became Montgomerie. From circa August 1598, her married name became Stewart. After her marriage, Jean Campbell was styled as Duchess of Lennox circa August 1598.

     Sir Matthew Campbell of Loudoun was the son of Sir Hugh Campbell of Loudoun and Lady Elizabeth Stuart.^2,3 He married Isabel Drummond, daughter of Sir John Drummond, 2nd of Innerpeffray and Margaret Stewart.⁴
     He lived at Loudon, Ayrshire, Scotland^G.¹

     Isabel Drummond was born circa 1533 at Innerpeffray, Perthshire, Scotland.² She was the daughter of Sir John Drummond, 2nd of Innerpeffray and Margaret Stewart.^1,3 She married Sir Matthew Campbell of Loudoun, son of Sir Hugh Campbell of Loudoun and Lady Elizabeth Stuart.¹

     Sir John Drummond, 2nd of Innerpeffray was born circa 1486 at Innerpeffray, Perthshire, Scotland.² He was the son of Sir John Drummond, 1st of Innerpeffray and Isabella Drummond.^3,2 He married Margaret Stewart, daughter of James IV Stewart, King of Scotland and Margaret Drummond, on 20 January 1530/31.⁴
     He lived at Innerpeffray, Scotland^G.⁵

     Elizabeth Popham was born on 22 May 1693.² She was the daughter of Alexander Popham and Lady Anne Montagu.³ She was baptised in June 1693 at St. James, Westminster, London, England.² She married, firstly, Edward Richard Montagu, Viscount Hinchinbroke, son of Edward Montagu, 3rd Earl of Sandwich and Lady Elizabeth Wilmot, on 12 April 1707.³ She married, secondly, Francis Seymour, son of Sir Edward Seymour, 5th Bt. and Laetitia Popham, on 30 July 1728.³ She died on 20 March 1761 at age 67.³
     From 12 April 1707, her married name became Montagu. From 30 July 1728, her married name became Seymour.

     Major Hon. Edward de Grey Beaumont was born on 2 March 1862.¹ He was the son of Wentworth Blackett Beaumont, 1st Baron Allendale and Lady Margaret Anne de Burgh.¹ He died on 23 November 1940 at age 78, unmarried.¹
     He gained the rank of Major in the Lancashire Hussars and 16th Lancers.¹
