     Vernon Hugh Gamester is the son of Edward Arthur Gamester.¹ He married Lady Jane Margaret Annesley, daughter of Patrick Annesley, 10th Earl Annesley and Catherine Burgess, on 8 December 1966.¹

     Wentworth Henry Canning Beaumont, 2nd Viscount Allendale was born on 6 August 1890.¹ He was the son of Wentworth Canning Blackett Beaumont, 1st Viscount Allendale and Lady Alexandrina Louise Maud Vane-Tempest.¹ He married Violet Lucy Emily Seely, daughter of Sir Charles Hilton Seely, 2nd Bt. and Hilda Lucy Grant, on 20 July 1921 at St. Martin-in-the-Fields Church, Covent Garden, London, England^G.¹ He died on 16 December 1956 at age 66.³
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G, in 1912 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He fought in the First World War, serving with the Guards Machine Gun Regiment.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant on 3 April 1914 in the Life Guards.¹ He gained the rank of Captain on 1 July 1915.¹ He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)¹ He succeeded as the 2nd Viscount Allendale, of Allendale and Hexham, co. Northumberland [U.K., 1911] on 12 December 1923.¹ He succeeded as the 3rd Baron Allendale, of Allendale and Hexham, co. Northumberland [U.K., 1906] on 12 December 1923.¹ He held the office of a Lord-in-Waiting between 1931 and 1932.¹ He was Master of Foxhounds, Badsworth between 1936 and 1945.³ He was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1943.³ He held the office of Lord-in-Waiting to HM King George VI.³ He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1948.³ He held the office of Lord-Lieutenant of Northumberland between 1949 and 1956.³ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)³ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)³ He was awarded the honorary degree of Doctor of Civil Law (D.C.L.) by Durham University, Durham, County Durham, England^G, in 1951.³ He was appointed Knight, Order of the Garter (K.G.) in 1951.³ He held the office of Permanent Lord-in-Waiting in 1954.³

     Wentworth Hubert Charles Beaumont, 3rd Viscount Allendale was born on 12 September 1922.¹ He was the son of Wentworth Henry Canning Beaumont, 2nd Viscount Allendale and Violet Lucy Emily Seely.¹ He married Hon. Sarah Field Ismay, daughter of General Hastings Lionel Ismay, 1st and last Baron Ismay and Laura Kathleen Clegg, on 10 February 1948.¹ He and Hon. Sarah Field Ismay were divorced in 1984.¹ He died on 27 December 2002 at age 80.²
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He gained the rank of Flight Lieutenant in the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve.¹ He fought in the Second World War, where he was wounded and taken as a prisoner of war.¹ He held the office of Aide-de-Camp to the Viceroy of India between 1946 and 1947.¹ He succeeded as the 4th Baron Allendale, of Allendale and Hexham, co. Northumberland [U.K., 1906] on 16 December 1956.¹ He succeeded as the 3rd Viscount Allendale, of Allendale and Hexham, co. Northumberland [U.K., 1911] on 16 December 1956.¹ He was appointed Officer, Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (O.St.J.)¹ He lived in 1999 at Bywell Hall, Stockfields-on-Tyne, Northumberland, England^G.¹

     Sir Philip Howard was born on 6 December 1581.¹ He was the son of Lord William Howard and Elizabeth Dacre.² He married Margaret Carryl, daughter of Sir John Carryl.¹ He died before 1640.¹
     He lived at Naworth, Cumberland, England^G.²

     Margaret Carryl is the daughter of Sir John Carryl.² She married Sir Philip Howard, son of Lord William Howard and Elizabeth Dacre.¹
     Her married name became Howard.

     Carl Vernon Gamester was born in 1970.¹ He is the son of Vernon Hugh Gamester and Lady Jane Margaret Annesley.¹

     Elizabeth Dacre was born on 12 November 1564.² She was the daughter of Thomas Dacre, 4th Lord Dacre (of Gilsland) and Elizabeth Leyburne.^1,2 She married Lord William Howard, son of Thomas Howard, 4th Duke of Norfolk and Hon. Margaret Audley, on 28 October 1577.¹
     Elizabeth Dacre also went by the nick-name of ‘Bess of the Broad Apron’ for her extensive land holdings.¹ Her married name became Howard.

     Sir Francis Howard was born on 29 August 1588.² He was the son of Lord William Howard and Elizabeth Dacre.¹ He married, firstly, Margeret Preston, daughter of John Preston.² He married, secondly, Mary Widdrington, daughter of Sir Henry Widdrington.² He died on 11 April 1660 at age 71.²
     He fought in the English Civil War.² He gained the rank of Colonel in the Royalist Army.² He lived at Corby Castle, Cumberland, England^G.² He also had four daughters by his second wife.²

     Very Rev. Hon. Henry Edward John Howard was born on 14 December 1795.¹ He was the son of Frederick Howard, 5th Earl of Carlisle and Lady Margaret Caroline Leveson-Gower.² He married Henrietta Elizabeth Wright, daughter of Ichabod Wright and Harriet Maria Day, on 13 July 1824.¹ He died on 8 October 1868 at age 72.¹
     He was the Rector at Donington, Shropshire, England^G.¹ He graduated with a Doctor of Divinity (D.D.)¹ He held the office of Prebendary of York.¹ He held the office of Dean of Lichfield.¹
