Wentworth Henry Canning Beaumont, 2nd Viscount Allendale1 

Wentworth Henry Canning Beaumont, 2nd Viscount Allendale was born on 6 August 1890.1 He was the son of Wentworth Canning Blackett Beaumont, 1st Viscount Allendale and Lady Alexandrina Louise Maud Vane-Tempest.1 He married Violet Lucy Emily Seely, daughter of Sir Charles Hilton Seely, 2nd Bt. and Hilda Lucy Grant, on 20 July 1921 at St. Martin-in-the-Fields Church, Covent Garden, London, EnglandG.1 He died on 16 December 1956 at age 66.3
He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG, in 1912 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He fought in the First World War, serving with the Guards Machine Gun Regiment.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant on 3 April 1914 in the Life Guards.1 He gained the rank of Captain on 1 July 1915.1 He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)1 He succeeded as the 2nd Viscount Allendale, of Allendale and Hexham, co. Northumberland [U.K., 1911] on 12 December 1923.1 He succeeded as the 3rd Baron Allendale, of Allendale and Hexham, co. Northumberland [U.K., 1906] on 12 December 1923.1 He held the office of a Lord-in-Waiting between 1931 and 1932.1 He was Master of Foxhounds, Badsworth between 1936 and 1945.3 He was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1943.3 He held the office of Lord-in-Waiting to HM King George VI.3 He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1948.3 He held the office of Lord-Lieutenant of Northumberland between 1949 and 1956.3 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)3 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)3 He was awarded the honorary degree of Doctor of Civil Law (D.C.L.) by Durham University, Durham, County Durham, EnglandG, in 1951.3 He was appointed Knight, Order of the Garter (K.G.) in 1951.3 He held the office of Permanent Lord-in-Waiting in 1954.3

Northumberland [U.K., 1906] on 16 December 1956.1 He succeeded as the 3rd Viscount Allendale, of Allendale and Hexham, co.
