     Sir John Home, Lord Renton was the son of Alexander Home and Margaret Cockburn.2 He married, secondly, Margaret Stewart, daughter of John Stewart.3 A contract for the marriage of Sir John Home, Lord Renton and Janet Home was signed on 15 February 1622.3 He died on 13 July 1671.2
     He held the office of Lord Justice Clerk.3 He was styled as Lord Renton [Scottish Law Lord].2

     Sir George Seton of Garleton, 2nd Bt. was the son of Sir John Seton of Garleton, 1st Bt. and Isabel Home.1 He married Barbara Wauchope, daughter of Andrew Wauchope of Niddrie and Margaret Gilmour, before 1685.1 He and Barbara Wauchope were divorced in 1705.1 He died between June 1718 and May 1720.1
     He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Seton, of Garleton, co. Haddington [N.S., 1664] in February 1686.1 On his death, his baronetcy became extinct (as his son had been attainted.)1
