John Graham, 4th Earl of Menteith1 
He fought in the Battle of Solway Moss on 24 November 1542, where he was captured by the English and held priosoner until July 1541 when he was ransomed.1 He succeeded as the 4th Earl of Menteith [S., 1427] circa 1544.1 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) [Scotland] before June 1545.1 He was a Lord of the Congregation in 1558.1

He succeeded as the 4th Earl of Caithness [S., 1455] on 18 May 1529.1 He resigned his Earldom, and received a regrant with remainder to his son and heir, John and the latter’s male heirs and assigns, failing whom to the (re)grantee himself and his heirs male whatsoever.1 He held the office of Justiciar of Caithness in 1566.1 In 1567 he was a member of the jury trial of James, Earl of Bothwell, for murdering Earl of Darnley.1
