He succeeded as the 17th Lord Hay [S., 1430] on 3 July 1778.1 He succeeded as the 16th Earl of Erroll [S., 1452] on 3 July 1778.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the 1st Guards.1 He fought in the Walcheran Expedition.1 He held the office of Representative Peer [Scotland] between 1796 and 1798.1
Elizabeth Jemima Blake1 
After her marriage, Elizabeth Jemima Blake was styled as Countess of Erroll on 25 January 1790.1 From 25 January 1790, her married name became Hay.1 From 12 September 1816, her married name became Frere.1

George Frederick Samuel Robinson, 1st Marquess of Ripon1 

George Frederick Samuel Robinson, 1st Marquess of Ripon was born on 24 October 1827.3 He was the son of Frederick John Robinson, 1st Earl of Ripon and Lady Sarah Albinia Louisa Hobart.4 He married Henrietta Anne Theodosia Vyner, daughter of Henry Vyner and Lady Mary Gertrude Weddell, on 8 April 1851.3 He died on 9 July 1909 at age 81.3
He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Hull from 1852 to 1853.3 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Huddersfield between 1853 and 1857.3 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for the West Riding of Yorkshire between 1857 and 1859.3 He succeeded as the 2nd Viscount Goderich [U.K., 1827] on 28 January 1859.3 He succeeded as the 2nd Earl of Ripon, co. York [U.K., 1833] on 28 January 1859.3 He succeeded as the 4th Baron Grantham, of Grantham, co. Lincoln [G.B., 1761] on 28 January 1859.3 He succeeded as the 7th Baronet Robinson, of Newby, co. York [E., 1690] on 14 November 1859.3 He succeeded as the 3rd Earl de Grey of Wrest, co. Bedford [U.K., 1816] on 14 November 1859.3 He held the office of Lord President of the Council between 1868 and 1873.3 He was appointed Knight, Order of the Garter (K.G.) on 11 December 1869.1 He was created 1st Marquess of Ripon [U.K.] on 23 June 1871.3 He held the office of Lord-Lieutenant of the North Riding, Yorkshire between 1873 and 1906.3 He held the office of Governor-General and Viceroy of India between 1880 and 1884.3 He held the office of First Lord of the Admiralty in 1886.3 He held the office of Mayor of Ripon in 1895.3 He held the office of Lord Privy Seal between 1905 and 1908.3
