     Roger Grierson, 8th of Lag was born circa 1535 at Cullean, Ayrshire, Scotland^G.² He was the son of Sir John Grierson, 6th of Lag and Egidia Geils Kennedy.¹ He married, firstly, Helen Douglas, daughter of Sir James Douglas, 7th of Drumlanrig and Christian Montgomerie, on 21 April 1566 at Drumlanrig Castle, Drumlanrig, Scotland^G.¹ He married, secondly, Margaret Chalmers after 1578.¹ He died in August 1593 at Dunscore, Dumfries-shire, Scotland^G.^1,3
     He lived at Lag, Dumfries-shire, Scotland^G.

     Edward Crichton, 7th Lord Crichton of Sanquhar was the son of William Crichton, 5th Lord Crichton of Sanquhar and Elizabeth Fleming.¹ He married Margaret Douglas, daughter of Sir James Douglas, 7th of Drumlanrig and Christian Montgomerie, circa 4 June 1561.¹ He died on 23 May 1569.¹
     He succeeded as the 7th Lord Crichton of Sanquhar [S., 1488] in 1561.¹

     William Graham, 5th Earl of Menteith was the son of John Graham, 4th Earl of Menteith and Marion Seton.¹ He married Margaret Douglas, daughter of Sir James Douglas, 7th of Drumlanrig and Christian Montgomerie, circa 16 May 1571.¹ He died in September 1578.¹
     He succeeded as the 5th Earl of Menteith [S., 1427] in January 1564/65.¹ He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) [Scotland] in 1577/78.¹

     Robert Wauchope of Niddrie Marischal was the son of William Wauchope of Niddrie and Margaret Sandilands.¹ He married, firstly, Margaret Dundas, daughter of Sir James Dundas, 16th of Dundas and Margaret Sandilands, in 1558.¹ He married by contract, secondly, Margaret Douglas, daughter of Sir James Douglas, 7th of Drumlanrig and Christian Montgomerie, on 22 May 1593.¹ He died after 1598.¹

     Archibald Charles Douglas was born on 2 January 1861.¹ He was the son of Rt. Rev. Henry Alexander Douglas and Eliza Hoskins.¹ He married Betty McClelland, daughter of Andrew Simpson McClelland, on 16 December 1896.¹ He died on 6 October 1939 at age 78.¹

     Betty McClelland was the daughter of Andrew Simpson McClelland.¹ She married Archibald Charles Douglas, son of Rt. Rev. Henry Alexander Douglas and Eliza Hoskins, on 16 December 1896.¹ She died on 29 February 1960.¹
     Her married name became Douglas.

     Andrew Simpson McClelland lived at Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland.¹

     Margaret Douglas was born circa 1854.¹ She was the daughter of Rt. Rev. Henry Alexander Douglas and Eliza Hoskins.^2,1 She died on 1 September 1943, unmarried.¹

     Catherine Mary Grey Douglas was born circa 1857.¹ She was the daughter of Rt. Rev. Henry Alexander Douglas and Eliza Hoskins.¹ She married Reverend Francis Ainger in 1894.¹ She died on 31 December 1942.¹
     Her married name became Ainger.

     Reverend Francis Ainger married Catherine Mary Grey Douglas, daughter of Rt. Rev. Henry Alexander Douglas and Eliza Hoskins, in 1894.¹ He died on 30 October 1905.¹
     He was the Rector at Jedburgh, Roxburghshire, Scotland^G.¹
