     Sylvia Mary Crawford Caffin was born in 1901 at Marlow, Buckinghamshire, England.² She was the daughter of Francis Crawford Caffin and Mary Stuart Jowitt.^1,2 She married Major Alfred Saward Chenevix Trench, son of Colonel Charles Chenevix Trench and Emily Mary Lefroy, on 26 April 1949.¹
     From 26 April 1949, her married name became Chenevix Trench.¹

     Mary Palmer was born on 4 December 1750.³ She was the daughter of Reverend John Palmer and Mary Reynolds.^3,4 She married Murrough O’Brien, 1st Marquess of Thomond, son of Lord James O’Brien and Mary Jephson, on 25 July 1792 at Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire, England^G.¹ She died on 7 September 1820 at age 69 at Baylis House, Stoke Poges, Buckinghamshire, England^G.³ She was buried at Taplow, Buckinghamshire, England^G.
     From 25 July 1792, her married name became O’Brien. After her marriage, Mary Palmer was styled as Countess of Inchiquin on 25 July 1792. After her marriage, Mary Palmer was styled as Marchioness of Thomond on 29 December 1800.

     Reverend John Palmer was born on 14 December 1708.¹ He was the son of Joseph Palmer and Elizabeth Gayer.¹ He married Mary Reynolds, daughter of Reverend Samuel Reynolds and Theophilia Potter, on 18 July 1740 at Little Torrington, Devon, England^G.¹ He died on 17 September 1779 at age 70.¹
     He lived at Great Torrington, Devon, England^G.¹

     George Graham was born circa 1555. He was the son of John Graham, 4th Earl of Menteith and Marion Seton.¹ He married Agnes MacDougall.² He died in 1610.
     He was Tutor to his nephew, 6th Earl of Menteith.¹

     Rear-Admiral Hon. George Frederick Hotham was born on 20 October 1799.¹ He was the son of Lt.-Col. Beaumont Hotham and Philadelphia Dyke.¹ He married Lady Susan Maria O’Brien, daughter of William O’Brien, 2nd Marquess of Thomond and Elizabeth Trotter, on 12 August 1824.² He died on 19 October 1856 at age 56.¹
     On 1 September 1835 he was granted the rank of a baron’s younger son.¹

     Lt.-Col. Beaumont Hotham was born on 30 August 1768.¹ He was the son of Beaumont Hotham, 2nd Baron Hotham of South Dalton and Susannah Hankey.¹ He married Philadelphia Dyke, daughter of Sir John Dixon Dyke, 3rd Bt. and Philadelphia Payne Horne, on 20 May 1790.¹ He died in August 1799.¹
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Coldstream Guards.¹

     Philadelphia Dyke was the daughter of Sir John Dixon Dyke, 3rd Bt. and Philadelphia Payne Horne. She married Lt.-Col. Beaumont Hotham, son of Beaumont Hotham, 2nd Baron Hotham of South Dalton and Susannah Hankey, on 20 May 1790.¹ She died on 20 May 1808.¹
     Her married name became Hotham.

     Sir John Dixon Dyke, 3rd Bt. was born on 23 November 1732.¹ He was the son of Sir Thomas Dyke, 2nd Bt. and Anne Hart.² He married Philadelphia Payne Horne, daughter of George Horne, on 3 May 1756.¹ He died on 6 September 1810 at age 77.¹
     He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Dyke, of Horsham, Sussex [E., 1677] on 20 August 1756.¹

     Beaumont Hotham, 2nd Baron Hotham of South Dalton was born on 5 August 1737 at Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland^G.^1,2,3,4 He was the son of Sir Beaumont Hotham, 7th Bt. and Frances Thompson. He married Susannah Hankey, daughter of Sir Thomas Hankey and Sarah Barnard, on 6 June 1767.⁵ He died on 4 March 1814 at age 76 at Hampton, London, England^G.^3,4
     He was a Baron of the Exchequer.⁵ He succeeded as the 12th Baronet Hotham [E., 1622] on 7 May 1813.⁵ He succeeded as the 2nd Baron Hotham of South Dalton [I., 1797] on 7 May 1813.⁵
