     Victor Alexander Grosvenor, Earl Grosvenor was born on 28 April 1853.¹ He was the son of Hugh Lupus Grosvenor, 1st Duke of Westminster and Lady Constance Gertrude Sutherland-Leveson-Gower.¹ He married Lady Sibell Mary Lumley, daughter of Richard George Lumley, 9th Earl of Scarbrough and Frederica Mary Adeliza Drummond, on 3 November 1874.¹ He died on 22 January 1884 at age 30.¹
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He was styled as Earl Grosvenor between 1869 and 1884.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Cheshire Yeomanry Cavalry.¹

     Lady Sibell Mary Lumley was born on 25 March 1855. She was the daughter of Richard George Lumley, 9th Earl of Scarbrough and Frederica Mary Adeliza Drummond.² She married, firstly, Victor Alexander Grosvenor, Earl Grosvenor, son of Hugh Lupus Grosvenor, 1st Duke of Westminster and Lady Constance Gertrude Sutherland-Leveson-Gower, on 3 November 1874.² She married, secondly, Rt. Hon. George Wyndham, son of Hon. Percy Scawen Wyndham and Madeline Caroline Frances Eden Campbell, on 7 February 1887.¹ She died on 4 February 1929 at age 73.¹
     From 3 November 1874, her married name became Grosvenor. From 7 February 1887, her married name became Wyndham.

     Rt. Hon. George Wyndham was born on 29 August 1863.¹ He was the son of Hon. Percy Scawen Wyndham and Madeline Caroline Frances Eden Campbell.² He married Lady Sibell Mary Lumley, daughter of Richard George Lumley, 9th Earl of Scarbrough and Frederica Mary Adeliza Drummond, on 7 February 1887.¹ He died on 8 June 1913 at age 49.¹
     He was commissioned Expdn 1885, in the service of the Coldstream Guards.¹ He fought in the Suakin Expedition in 1885.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Conservative) for Dover between 1889 and 1913.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Cheshire Yeomanry.¹ He held the office of Under-Secretary of War between 1898 and 1900.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Cheshire.¹ He was awarded the honorary degree of Doctor of Civil Law (D.C.L.) by Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G.¹ He was awarded the honorary degree of Doctor of Law (LL.D.) by Edinburgh University, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland^G.¹ He was awarded the honorary degree of Doctor of Law (LL.D.) by Glasgow University, Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland^G.¹ He held the office of Chief Secretary of Ireland between 1900 and 1905.¹ He held the office of Lord Rector of Glasgow University in 1902.¹ He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.)¹ He held the office of Lord Rector of Edinburgh University in 1908.¹ He lived at Clouds, Wiltshire, England^G.¹

     Sir Thomas de Umfreville was born circa 1361.¹ He was the son of Thomas de Umfreville and Joan de Roddam.¹ He married Agnes (?)¹ He died on 12 February 1390/91.¹ He was also reported to have died on 8 March 1390/91.¹

     Sir Robert de Umfreville was born before 9 May 1378.¹ He was the son of Thomas de Umfreville and Joan de Roddam.¹ He died on 27 January 1436/37, without issue.²

     George Granville Sutherland-Leveson-Gower, 2nd Duke of Sutherland was born on 8 August 1786.¹ He was the son of George Granville Leveson-Gower, 1st Duke of Sutherland and Elizabeth Sutherland, Countess of Sutherland.¹ He married Lady Harriet Elizabeth Georgiana Howard, daughter of George Howard, 6th Earl of Carlisle and Lady Georgiana Dorothy Cavendish, on 28 May 1823.³ He died on 22 February 1861 at age 74.¹
     He was given the name of George Granville Leveson-Gower at birth.³ He was educated at Harrow School, Harrow, London, England.¹ He was educated at Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Whig) for St. Malwas between 1808 and 1812.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Whig) for Newcastle-under-Lynne between 1812 and 1815.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Whig) for Staffordshire between 1815 and 1820.¹ He succeeded as the 5th Baron Gower of Stittenham, co. York [G.B., 1703] on 25 November 1826, in his father’s lifetime.¹ He held the office of Lord-Lieutenant of Sutherland between 1831 and 1861.¹ He held the office of High Steward of Steward in 1833.¹ He succeeded as the 4th Viscount Trentham, co.      Lady Harriet Elizabeth Georgiana Howard was born on 21 May 1806.³ She was the daughter of George Howard, 6th Earl of Carlisle and Lady Georgiana Dorothy Cavendish.¹ She married George Granville Sutherland-Leveson-Gower, 2nd Duke of Sutherland, son of George Granville Leveson-Gower, 1st Duke of Sutherland and Elizabeth Sutherland, Countess of Sutherland, on 28 May 1823.⁴ She died on 27 October 1868 at age 62.⁴
     Her married name became Leveson-Gower. She was appointed Lady, Royal Order of Victoria and Albert (V.A.)⁵ She held the office of Mistress of the Robes to HM Queen Victoria.⁵

     Frederick Howard, 5th Earl of Carlisle was born on 28 May 1748.³ He was the son of Henry Howard, 4th Earl of Carlisle and Hon. Isabella Byron.³ He was baptised on 19 June 1748 at St. Anne’s, Westminster, London, England^G.⁴ He married Lady Margaret Caroline Leveson-Gower, daughter of Granville Leveson-Gower, 1st Marquess of Stafford and Lady Louisa Egerton, on 22 March 1770 at Whitehall Street, St. Martin’s-in-the-Fields, London, England^G.⁴ He died on 4 September 1825 at age 77 at Castle Howard, Castle Howard, Yorkshire, England^G.⁴ He was buried at Castle Howard, Castle Howard, Yorkshire, England^G.⁴

     Hon. Katherine Caroline Cavendish was born circa December 1857. She was the daughter of William George Cavendish, 2nd Baron Chesham and Henrietta Frances Lascelles.² She married Hugh Lupus Grosvenor, 1st Duke of Westminster, son of Richard Grosvenor, 2nd Marquess of Westminster and Lady Elizabeth Mary Leveson-Gower, on 19 July 1882.¹ She died on 19 December 1941.¹
     From 19 July 1882, her married name became Grosvenor. After her marriage, Hon. Katherine Caroline Cavendish was styled as Duchess of Westminster on 19 July 1882. She was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1920.¹

     Lord Henry George Grosvenor was born on 23 June 1861.¹ He was the son of Hugh Lupus Grosvenor, 1st Duke of Westminster and Lady Constance Gertrude Sutherland-Leveson-Gower.¹ He married, firstly, Dora Mina Erskine-Wemyss, daughter of James Hay Erskine-Wemyss and Augusta Millicent Anne Mary Kennedy-Erskine, on 21 April 1887.¹ He married, secondly, Rosamund Angharad Lloyd, daughter of Edward Lloyd and Matilda Susannah Smith, on 19 October 1911.¹ He died on 27 December 1914 at age 53.¹
