Hugh Richard Arthur Grosvenor, 2nd Duke of Westminster was born on 19 March 1879.1 He was the son of Victor Alexander Grosvenor, Earl Grosvenor and Lady Sibell Mary Lumley.1 He married, firstly, Constance Edwina Cornwallis-West, daughter of William Cornwallis Cornwallis-West and Mary Adelaide Virginia Eupatoria FitzPatrick, on 16 February 1901.3,1 He and Constance Edwina Cornwallis-West were divorced in 1919.3,1 He married, secondly, Violet Mary Nelson, daughter of Sir William Nelson, 1st Bt. and Margaret Hope, on 26 November 1920.1 He and Violet Mary Nelson were divorced in 1926.1 He married, thirdly, Hon. Loelia Mary Ponsonby, daughter of Frederick Edward Grey Ponsonby, 1st Baron Sysonby and Victoria Lily Hegan Kennard, on 20 February 1930.1 He and Hon. Loelia Mary Ponsonby were divorced in 1947.1 He married, fourthly, Anne Winifred Sullivan, daughter of Brig.-Gen. Edward Langford Sullivan and Winifred Burns, on 7 February 1947.1 He died on 19 July 1953 at age 74.1

Chester [G.B., 1761] on 22 December 1899.1 He succeeded as the 5th Viscount Belgrave [G.B., 1784] on 22 December 1899.1 He fought in the Boer War between 1900 and 1901, and was mentioned in despatches.1 He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Royal Victorian Order (G.C.V.O.) in 1907.1 He held the office of Lord-Lieutenant of Cheshire between 1907 and 1920.1 He fought in the First World War, with armoured cars in France and in North Afirca.1 He gained the rank of Temporary Commander in the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve.1 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1916.1 He was personal assistant to the Controller of Mechanical Warfare Department, Ministry of Munitions in 1917.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel and Honorary Colonel in the Cheshire Yeomanry.1 He and Gabrielle Bonheur Chanel were associated between 1923 and 1933.5 He was awarded the Commandeur, Ordre national de la Légion d’honneur in 1934.1
