Lord Ronald Charles Sutherland-Gower was born on 2 August 1845.1 He was the son of George Granville Sutherland-Leveson-Gower, 2nd Duke of Sutherland and Lady Harriet Elizabeth Georgiana Howard.3 He died on 9 March 1916 at age 70, unmarried.1
He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Sutherland between 1867 and 1874.1 He was trustee of the National Portrait Gallery and Shakespeare Memorial Building.1
