Lady Mary Isabella Somerset was born on 1 August 1756.3,4 She was the daughter of Charles Noel Somerset, 4th Duke of Beaufort and Elizabeth Berkeley.5 She married Charles Manners, 4th Duke of Rutland, son of John Manners, Marquess of Granby and Lady Frances Seymour, on 26 December 1775.5 She died on 2 September 1831 at age 75.1
Her married name became Manners. After her marriage, Lady Mary Isabella Somerset was styled as Duchess of Rutland on 29 May 1779.

John Henry Manners, 5th Duke of Rutland was born on 4 January 1778.1 He was the son of Charles Manners, 4th Duke of Rutland and Lady Mary Isabella Somerset.3,1 He married Lady Elizabeth Howard, daughter of Frederick Howard, 5th Earl of Carlisle and Lady Margaret Caroline Leveson-Gower, on 22 April 1799.1 He died on 20 January 1857 at age 79.1
He succeeded as the 5th Lord Manners of Haddon [E., 1679] on 24 October 1787.1 He succeeded as the 13th Earl of Rutland [E., 1525] on 24 October 1787.1 He succeeded as the 5th Duke of Rutland [E., 1703] on 24 October 1787.1 He succeeded as the 5th Marquess of Granby, co.
