Lady Constance Gertrude Sutherland-Leveson-Gower was born on 16 June 1834. She was the daughter of George Granville Sutherland-Leveson-Gower, 2nd Duke of Sutherland and Lady Harriet Elizabeth Georgiana Howard.3,4 She married Hugh Lupus Grosvenor, 1st Duke of Westminster, son of Richard Grosvenor, 2nd Marquess of Westminster and Lady Elizabeth Mary Leveson-Gower, on 28 April 1852.3 She died on 19 December 1880 at age 46.3
From 28 April 1852, her married name became Grosvenor. After her marriage, Lady Constance Gertrude Sutherland-Leveson-Gower was styled as Marchioness of Westminster on 28 April 1852. After her marriage, Lady Constance Gertrude Sutherland-Leveson-Gower was styled as Duchess of Westminster on 27 February 1874.
