     Captain Charles Spencer gained the rank of Captain in the Devonshire Regiment.¹

     Edward Charles Spencer was born on 24 September 1946.¹ He is the son of Colonel Charles Richard Spencer and Millicent Howard.² He married Sarah Elizabeth Dewhurst in 1974.¹

     Elizabeth Janet Spencer was born on 10 December 1938.¹ She is the daughter of Colonel Charles Richard Spencer and Millicent Howard.² She married General Sir Frank Edward Kitson, son of Vice-Admiral Sir Henry Karslake Kitson and Marjorie de Pass, in 1962.¹
     From 1962, her married name became Kitson. She held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Devon.¹ She lived in 2003 at Elfordtown, Yelverton, Devon, England^G.¹ She was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 2015.³

     Charles William Curtis lived at Lincoln, Lincolnshire, England^G.¹

     Benjamin Bell of Blackethouse was born on 13 April 1810.¹ He was the son of Joseph Bell of Blackethouse and Roberta Craigie.¹ He married Cecilia Barbara Craigie, daughter of Laurence Craigie of Glendoick, on 15 October 1835 at Glendoick House, Perthshire, Scotland.¹ He died on 13 June 1883 at age 73.¹
     He was appointed Fellow, Royal College of Surgeons (F.R.C.S.)¹ He held the office of President, Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh (P.R.C.S.E.)¹
     He also had two daughters, both of whom died unmarried.¹

     Sir John Carryl lived at Harting, Sussex, England^G.¹

     Sir William Uvedale married Hon. Victoria Cary, daughter of Henry Cary, 1st Viscount of Falkland and Elizabeth Tanfield.² He died circa November 1682. He was buried on 3 December 1682.
     He lived at Wickham, Hampshire, England^G.¹

     Sir Jonathan Cope, 1st Bt. was born circa 1692.² He was the son of Jonathan Cope and Susan Fowler.^3,4 He married Mary Jenkinson, daughter of Sir Robert Jenkinson, 2nd Bt. and Sarah Tomlins, in 1717.⁵ He died on 28 March 1765.⁵
     He lived at Brewerne Abbey, Oxfordshire, England^G.⁵ He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.⁶ He was educated at Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.⁶ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Bunbury between 1713 and 1722.⁶ He was created 1st Baronet Cope, of Bruern [Great Britain] on 1 March 1714.¹

     Charles Frederick Ashley Cooper Ponsonby, 2nd Baron de Mauley of Canford was born on 12 September 1815.¹ He was the son of William Francis Spencer Ponsonby, 1st Baron de Mauley of Canford and Lady Barbara Ashley-Cooper.¹ He married Lady Maria Jane Elizabeth Ponsonby, daughter of John William Ponsonby, 4th Earl of Bessborough and Lady Maria Fane, on 9 August 1838.¹ He died on 24 August 1896 at age 80.¹
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Liberal) for Poole between 1837 and 1847.² He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Liberal) for Dungarven between 1851 and 1852.² He succeeded as the 2nd Baron de Mauley of Canford, co. Dorset [U.K., 1838] on 16 May 1855.¹

     Marion Southam was the daughter of Edward Southam. She married, firstly, William Leigh Bennett before 1852.¹ She married, secondly, George Howard, son of Very Rev. Hon. Henry Edward John Howard and Henrietta Elizabeth Wright, on 18 May 1852.¹ She died in 1896.¹
     From before 1852, her married name became Bennett.¹ Her married name became Howard.
