Leonard Paul Irby, son of Lt.-Col. Leonard Howard Loyd Irby and Geraldine Alicia Mary Magenis, on 11 January 1896.³ She died on 20 September 1957.³
     From 11 January 1896, her married name became Irby.¹

     John Cockerline was baptised on 8 March 1820 at Kingston on Hull, Hull, Yorkshire, England^G.¹ He married Hannah Mason Jackson on 28 August 1853.¹ He died in September 1905 at age 85 at Hull, Yorkshire, England^G.¹

     Rear-Admiral Hon. Frederick Paul Irby was born on 18 April 1779.² He was the son of Frederick Irby, 2nd Baron Boston and Christian Methuen.¹ He married, firstly, Emily Ives Drake, daughter of Rt. Hon. Dr. William Drake and Rachel Elizabeth Ives, on 1 December 1803.² He married, secondly, Frances Wright, daughter of Ichabod Wright and Harriet Maria Day, on 23 January 1816.² He died on 24 April 1844 at age 65.¹
     He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.)² He gained the rank of Rear-Admiral of the Red.² He lived at Boyland Hall, Long Stratton, Norfolk, England^G.²

     Frances Wright was the daughter of Ichabod Wright and Harriet Maria Day.^1,2 She married Rear-Admiral Hon. Frederick Paul Irby, son of Frederick Irby, 2nd Baron Boston and Christian Methuen, on 23 January 1816.³ She died on 16 January 1852.³
     From 23 January 1816, her married name became Irby.¹

     Joseph Bell was born on 2 December 1837.¹ He was the son of Benjamin Bell of Blackethouse and Cecilia Barbara Craigie.¹ He married Catherine Murray, daughter of Hon. James Murray, on 17 April 1865.¹ He died on 4 October 1911 at age 73, without survivng male issue.¹
     He was a physician and surgeon.¹ He held the office of President, Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh (P.R.C.S.E.)¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)¹
     He was reputably the model for Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s Sherlock Holmes, due to his powers of deduction.¹

     Katherine Gertrude Edwards is the daughter of Captain C. M. H. Edwards.¹ She married Major Gerald Howard Boteler Irby, 9th Baron Boston, son of Lt.-Col. Leonard Paul Irby and Ethel Maud Casberd-Boteler, on 14 August 1926.¹ She and Major Gerald Howard Boteler Irby, 9th Baron Boston were divorced in 1931.¹
     From 14 August 1926, her married name became Irby.¹

     Captain C. M. H. Edwards gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Army Service Corps.²

     Erica Nelly Hill was born on 13 August 1899.² She was the daughter of T. H. Hill.¹ She married Major Gerald Howard Boteler Irby, 9th Baron Boston, son of Lt.-Col. Leonard Paul Irby and Ethel Maud Casberd-Boteler, on 8 February 1936.¹ She died in May 1990 at age 90 at Kingston-upon-Thames, Surrey, England^G.^1,2
     From 8 February 1936, her married name became Irby.¹ After her marriage, Erica Nelly Hill was styled as Baroness Boston on 12 October 1972.
