Walter Chetwynd, 1st Viscount Chetwynd of Bearhaven was born circa 1678.1 He was the son of John Chetwynd and Lucy Roane.3 He married Hon. Mary Berkeley, daughter of John Berkeley, 4th Viscount Fitzhardinge of Berehaven and Barbara Villiers, on 27 May 1703 at St. Martin-in-the-Fields Church, Covent Garden, London, EnglandG.4 He died on 21 February 1735/36 at Ingestre, Staffordshire, EnglandG, without issue.4 He was buried at Ingestre, Staffordshire, EnglandG.4 His will was proven (by probate) on 16 March 1735/36.4
He matriculated at Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, on 28 May 1696.4 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.)
