Sir Edward Bayntun-Rolt, 1st Bt.1 
He was given the name of Edward Rolt at birth.1 In 1717 his name was legally changed to Edward Bayntun-Rolt after inheriting Spye Park from his maternal uncle, John Bayntun.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Chippenham between 1737 and 1768. He held the office of Groom of the Bedchamber to HRH The Prince of Wales in 1746.1 He held the office of Surveyor of the Duchy of Cornwall in 1751.1 He was created 1st Baronet Bayntun-Rolt, of Spye Park [near Calne], co. Wilts [Great Britain] on 7 July 1762.1 He was a member of the Council to George, Prince of Wales in 1787.1

Anne Bayntun1 
Anne Bayntun was born in 1689.2 She was the daughter of Henry Bayntun and Lady Anne Wilmot.1 She married, firstly, Edward Rolt, son of Sir Thomas Rolt and Mary Cox, in 1708.3,4 She married, secondly, James Somerville, 12th Lord Somerville, son of James Somerville, 11th Lord Somerville and Margaret Murray, on 18 September 1724.2 She died on 24 October 1734.2
From 1708, her married name became Rolt. From 18 September 1724, her married name became Somerville.2
