     Helen Catriona Stewart Macpherson was born on 18 September 1914.¹ She is the daughter of Sir Thomas Stewart Macpherson and Helen Cameron.² She married James Asher Mackintosh, son of Professor James Mackintosh, on 24 October 1938.¹
     Helen Catriona Stewart Macpherson usually went by her middle name of Rhona.¹ She graduated from Edinburgh University, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland^G, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)¹ From 24 October 1938, her married name became Mackintosh.      James Ian Macpherson, 1st Baron Strathcarron was born on 14 May 1880.¹ He was the son of James Macpherson and Anne Stewart.² He married Elizabeth Marjorie Rhodes, daughter of Sir George Wood Rhodes, 1st Bt. and Margaret Catherine Phillips, on 24 September 1915.¹ He died on 14 August 1937 at age 57.¹
     He was also known as 1st Baron (?)      John Donald Macpherson was born on 25 July 1883.¹ He was the son of James Macpherson and Anne Stewart.² He married Mary Kininmonth Simpson, daughter of John Simpson, on 15 March 1922.¹ He died on 2 January 1960 at age 76, without issue.¹
     He was educated at Newtonmore, Kingussie, Inverness-shire, Scotland^G.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the Queen’s Own Cameron Highlanders (Territorial Army.)¹ He was educated First World War.¹

     Mary Kininmonth Simpson is the daughter of John Simpson.² She married John Donald Macpherson, son of James Macpherson and Anne Stewart, on 15 March 1922.¹
     From 15 March 1922, her married name became Macpherson.

     Sir George Wood Rhodes, 1st Bt. was born on 3 September 1860.² He is the son of Thomas Rhodes and Amelia Fletcher.² He married, firstly, Margaret Catherine Phillips, daughter of John Phillips, on 13 June 1883.² He married, secondly, Diana Murphy, daughter of Daniel Murphy, on 30 October 1922.² He died on 5 February 1924 at age 63.²
     He was created 1st Baronet Rhodes, of Hollingworth, co. Chester [U.K.] on 29 May 1919.² He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Cheshire.²

     Elizabeth Marjorie Rhodes was the daughter of Sir George Wood Rhodes, 1st Bt. and Margaret Catherine Phillips.² She married, firstly, James Ian Macpherson, 1st Baron Strathcarron, son of James Macpherson and Anne Stewart, on 24 September 1915.² She married, secondly, Hedley Ernest Le Bas, son of Sir Hedley Francis Le Bas, on 22 June 1938.² She died on 4 August 1956.²
     Elizabeth Marjorie Rhodes also went by the nick-name of Jill.¹ From 24 September 1915, her married name became Macpherson. After her marriage, Elizabeth Marjorie Rhodes was styled as Baroness Strathcarron on 11 January 1936. From 22 June 1938, her married name became Le Bas.²
