     Lt.-Col. Francis Arthur Philip D’Abreu was born on 1 October 1904.1 He was the son of Dr. John Francis D’Abreu and Teresa Mary Gertrude Noonan.2 He married Margaret Ann Bowes-Lyon, daughter of Major Hon. Patrick Bowes-Lyon and Alice Wilshire, on 2 June 1945.3 He died on 16 November 1995 at age 91.1
     He graduated with a Master of Surgery (Ch.M.)3 He was awarded the Emergency Reserve Decoration (E.R.D.)3 He was appointed Fellow, Royal College of Surgeons (F.R.C.S.)1 He became an unknown person ‘s adoptive father.4

     He was educated at Stonyhurst College, Blackburn, Lancashire, England.1 He graduated from London University, London, England, in 1970 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1
