     Basil Copleston Allen was the son of Arthur John Allen.² He married Mabel Erskine Ward, daughter of Sir William Erskine Ward and Alicia Caroline Palmer, on 14 May 1896 at Assam, Bengal, India.^1,2 He died on 22 September 1935.¹
