     General Sir Edward Pemberton Leach, V.C. was born on 2 April 1847 at Londonderry, County Londonderry, Ireland^G.² He was the son of Lt.-Col. Sir George Archibald Leach.¹ He married Elizabeth Mary Bazley, daughter of Sir Thomas Sebastian Bazley, 2nd Bt. and Elizabeth Gardner, in 1883.¹ He died on 26 April 1913 at age 66 at Cadenabbia, Italy^G.^1,2 He was buried at Grienze Church, Cadenabbia, Italy^G.²
     He fought in the Second Afghan War in 1878.² He was awarded the Victoria Cross (V.C.) on 9 December 1879, for his actions on 17 March 1879.^1,2 He gained the rank of General in the Royal Engineers.¹ He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.)¹ He was appointed Knight Commander, Royal Victorian Order (K.C.V.O.)¹

     Annie Caroline Bazley was the daughter of Sir Thomas Sebastian Bazley, 2nd Bt. and Elizabeth Gardner.¹ She married Frederic Pocock Bulley on 16 February 1887.¹ She died on 25 June 1944, leaving issue.¹
     From 16 February 1887, her married name became Bulley.¹

     Frederic Pocock Bulley married Annie Caroline Bazley, daughter of Sir Thomas Sebastian Bazley, 2nd Bt. and Elizabeth Gardner, on 16 February 1887.¹ He died on 3 August 1940.¹
     He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)¹ He lived at Lullingworth, Painswick, Gloucestershire, England^G.¹

     Frances Annette Ellen Bazley was the daughter of Sir Thomas Sebastian Bazley, 2nd Bt. and Elizabeth Gardner.¹ She married Richard Assheton, son of Ralph Assheton and Emily Augusta Feilden, on 5 January 1892.¹ She died on 19 June 1945.¹
     From 5 January 1892, her married name became Assheton.¹ She held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Cambridgeshire.²

     Richard Assheton was born on 23 December 1863.² He was the son of Ralph Assheton and Emily Augusta Feilden.^1,2 He married Frances Annette Ellen Bazley, daughter of Sir Thomas Sebastian Bazley, 2nd Bt. and Elizabeth Gardner, on 5 January 1892.¹ He died on 23 October 1915 at age 51.¹
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.² He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)² He was a Fellow at Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G.² He was a zoologist.² He was appointed Fellow, Royal Society (F.R.S.)¹ He graduated with a Doctor of Science (Sc.D.)²

     Ralph Assheton was born on 20 December 1830.² He was the son of William Assheton and Hon. Frances Annabella Cokayne.² He married Emily Augusta Feilden, daughter of Joseph Feilden and Frances Mary Master, on 3 August 1854.² He died on 22 June 1907 at age 76.²
     He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Lancashire.² He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)² He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Lancashire.² He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for the West Riding, Yorkshire.² He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Clitheroe between 1868 and 1880.² He lived at Downham Hall, Clitheroe, Lancashire, England^G.¹

     Jessie Marion Atkinson Bazley was the daughter of Sir Thomas Sebastian Bazley, 2nd Bt. and Elizabeth Gardner.¹ She married Reverend Frederick Douglas Bateman on 20 April 1911.¹ She died on 8 June 1947.¹
     From 20 April 1911, her married name became Bateman.¹

     Reverend Frederick Douglas Bateman married Jessie Marion Atkinson Bazley, daughter of Sir Thomas Sebastian Bazley, 2nd Bt. and Elizabeth Gardner, on 20 April 1911.¹ He died on 20 May 1933.¹
     He graduated with a Master of Arts (M.A.)¹

     Lucy Maud Mary Bazley was the daughter of Sir Thomas Sebastian Bazley, 2nd Bt. and Elizabeth Gardner.¹ She married Robert Dimsdale, son of Robert Dimsdale, 6th Baron Dimsdale and Cecilia Jane Southwell, on 27 July 1898.¹ She died on 24 February 1960, leaving issue.¹
     From 27 July 1898, her married name became Dimsdale.¹

     Robert Dimsdale was the son of Robert Dimsdale, 6th Baron Dimsdale and Cecilia Jane Southwell.¹ He married Lucy Maud Mary Bazley, daughter of Sir Thomas Sebastian Bazley, 2nd Bt. and Elizabeth Gardner, on 27 July 1898.¹ He died on 23 September 1950.¹
     He lived at Ravenshill, Eastleach, Lechlade, Gloucestershire, England^G.¹
