John Southey Somerville, 14th Lord Somerville1 
He was educated at Harrow School, Harrow, London, England.2 He was educated at St. John’s College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England.2 He gained the rank of Colonel in the West Somerset Yeomanry.2 He succeeded as the 14th Lord Somerville [S., 1444] in 1796.1 He held the office of Representative Peer [Scotland] , Pres Board Ag 1798–1800, a Lord Bedchamber 1799–1810 between 1796 and 1807.2 He held the office of President of the Board of Agriculture between 1798 and 1800.2 He held the office of Lord of the Bedchamber between 1799 and 1810.2 He introduced Merino sheep into Britain from Lisbon.1
