     Major Michael Lawrence Lakin was born on 24 November 1881.² He was the son of Sir Michael Henry Lakin, 1st Bt. and Alice Emma Dewing.^1,2 He married Kathleen FitzGerald, daughter of Lord Maurice FitzGerald and Lady Adelaide Jane Frances Forbes, on 18 July 1914.¹ He died on 18 October 1960 at age 78.¹
     He was educated at Marlborough College, Marlborough, Wiltshire, England^G.² He fought in the Boer War in 1900.² He gained the rank of Major in the 11th Hussars.¹ He fought in the First World War, and he was mentioned in despatches twice.² He gained the rank of Acting Major in the Machine Corps Corps.² He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1915.¹ He was Major and 2nd in charge of the South Irish Horse.² He gained the rank of Adjutant in the Royal Wiltshire Yeomanry.² He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.) in 1918.¹ He lived at Horetown House, Foulke’s Mill, County Wexford, Ireland^G.¹

     Marjorie FitzGerald was born on 31 August 1896.¹ She was the daughter of Lord Maurice FitzGerald and Lady Adelaide Jane Frances Forbes.¹ She died on 2 January 1899 at age 2.¹

     Gerald Michael Lakin was born on 17 January 1916.¹ He was the son of Major Michael Lawrence Lakin and Kathleen FitzGerald.² He died on 20 February 1943 at age 27 at North Africa^G, from wounds received in action.
     He gained the rank of Captain in the 16th/5th Lancers.¹ He fought in the Second World War.

     Maurice Victor Lakin was born on 30 October 1919.¹ He is the son of Major Michael Lawrence Lakin and Kathleen FitzGerald.² He married, firstly, Huguette Paule Clémence Cauvin, daughter of Robert Cauvin, on 18 October 1951.¹ He and Huguette Paule Clémence Cauvin were divorced in 1956. He married, secondly, Silvanni Vong in 1959. He and Silvanni Vong were divorced in 1971.
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the 17th/21st Lancers.¹ He fought in the Second World War between 1939 and 1944, in North Africa, and was wounded.¹

     Huguette Paule Clémence Cauvin is the daughter of Robert Cauvin.² She married Maurice Victor Lakin, son of Major Michael Lawrence Lakin and Kathleen FitzGerald, on 18 October 1951.¹ She and Maurice Victor Lakin were divorced in 1956.
     Her married name became Lakin.

     Silvanni Vong married Maurice Victor Lakin, son of Major Michael Lawrence Lakin and Kathleen FitzGerald, in 1959. She and Maurice Victor Lakin were divorced in 1971.
     Her married name became Lakin.

     Michael Lakin was born on 16 March 1960.¹ He is the son of Maurice Victor Lakin and Silvanni Vong.²

     Richard Lakin was born on 6 May 1964.¹ He is the son of Maurice Victor Lakin and Silvanni Vong.² He married Claire Coutant, daughter of Roland Coutant, in 1990.¹

     Major Lord Frederick FitzGerald was born on 18 January 1857.¹ He was the son of Charles William FitzGerald, 4th Duke of Leinster and Lady Caroline Sutherland-Leveson-Gower.¹ He died on 8 March 1924 at age 67.¹
     He gained the rank of Major in the 60th Rifles.¹ He was Commissioner of National Education for Ireland.¹

     Lord Walter FitzGerald was born on 22 January 1858.¹ He was the son of Charles William FitzGerald, 4th Duke of Leinster and Lady Caroline Sutherland-Leveson-Gower.¹ He died on 31 July 1923 at age 65.¹
     He gained the rank of Capain in the 60th Rifles.¹
