     Lord Charles FitzGerald was born on 20 August 1859.1 He was the son of Charles William FitzGerald, 4th Duke of Leinster and Lady Caroline Sutherland-Leveson-Gower.1 He married Alice Sidonia Claudius, daughter of Pericles Claudius, in November 1887.1 He died on 28 June 1928 at age 68.1

     He fought in the First World War.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the Australian Imperial Forces.1 He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)1
