     Sir John Houstoun of that Ilk, 2nd Bt. was the son of Sir Patrick Houstoun of that Ilk, 1st Bt. and Ana Hamilton.1 He married Lady Anne Drummond, daughter of John Drummond, 1st Earl of Melfort and Sophia Maitland.1 He died in December 1717.1
     He gained the title of 2nd Baronet Houstoun.

     Lady Anne Drummond was born on 3 March 1671.1 She was the daughter of John Drummond, 1st Earl of Melfort and Sophia Maitland.1 She was baptised on 27 March 1671 at Largo, Fife, Scotland.2 She married Sir John Houstoun of that Ilk, 2nd Bt., son of Sir Patrick Houstoun of that Ilk, 1st Bt. and Ana Hamilton.1 She died in April 1738 at age 67.1
     Her married name became Houstoun.1
