Oliver Cromwell1 

Oliver Cromwell was born on 25 April 1599. He was the son of Robert Cromwell and Elizabeth Steward.1,4,5 He married Elizabeth Bouchier, daughter of Sir James Bouchier, in 1620. He died on 3 September 1658 at age 59.
He held the office of Lord Protector of England between 1653 and 1658.6 He has an extensive biographical entry in the Dictionary of National Biography.7

Colonel Archibald Douglas, 2nd Earl of Forfar1

He succeeded as the 2nd Lord Wandell and Hartside [S., 1661] on 11 December 1712.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Earl of Forfar [S., 1661] on 11 December 1712.1 He gained the rank of Colonel in 1713 in the 3rd Foot (Buffs.)2 He held the office of Envoy to Prussia in 1714.1 He fought in the Battle of Sheriffmuir on 7 December 1715, where he was wounded in 17 places.2 He has an extensive biographical entry in the Dictionary of Nationary Biography.3

On 10 September 1621 he received a grant of the vast territory of Nova Scotia, with permission to divide it into 100 tracks of 16,000 acres for colonisation. The grant came with the rank of Baronet, but was not acted until confirmed by King Charles I on 12 Jul 1625.2 He was created 1st Baronet Alexander, of Menstre, in Logie, co. Clackmannan [Nova Scotia] on 12 July 1625.2 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.)
