     Maj.-Gen. Sir Frederick John Goldsmid married Mary Steuart, daughter of Lt.-Col. George Mackenzie Steuart and Mary Babington, on 2 January 1849.¹ He died on 12 January 1908.²
     He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.)¹ He gained the rank of Major-General in the Madras Army.¹ He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Star of India (K.C.S.I.)¹

     Dora Steuart was the daughter of Lt.-Col. George Mackenzie Steuart and Mary Babington.² She married Yeats H. Goldsmid on 16 October 1855.¹ She died in December 1900.²
     From 16 October 1855, her married name became Goldsmid.¹

     Yeats H. Goldsmid married Dora Steuart, daughter of Lt.-Col. George Mackenzie Steuart and Mary Babington, on 16 October 1855.¹ He died on 21 November 1878, without issue.¹

     Alice Steuart was the daughter of Lt.-Col. George Mackenzie Steuart and Mary Babington.² She married Very Rev. T. B. W. Niven on 11 April 1867.¹ She died in July 1905.¹

     Sir John Houstoun of that Ilk, 3rd Bt. was the son of Sir John Houstoun of that Ilk, 2nd Bt. and Lady Anne Drummond.² He married Margaret Shaw, daughter of Sir John Shaw of Greenock, 2nd Bt. and Eleanor Nicolson.¹ He died on 11 February 1722.²
     He gained the title of 3rd Baronet Houstoun.

     Mary Florence Coulthard was born in 1858 at Plympton, Devon, England^G.¹ She married, firstly, Christopher Harris Bulteel, son of Thomas Hillersden Bulteel and Caroline Louisa Harris, in 1880 at Plympton, Devon, England^G.¹ She married, secondly, Lt.-Col. Frederick Hole in 1886 at Plympton, Devon, England^G.¹ She died in 1950 at Romsey, Hampshire, England^G.¹
     From 1880, her married name became Bulteel.¹ From 1886, her married name became Hole.¹

     Margaret Stewart is the daughter of Sir Archibald Stewart of Blackhall, 1st Bt. and Ann Crawfurd.^2,1 She married John Brisbane of Brisbane, son of James Shaw and Elizabeth Brisbane, in 1685.¹
     From 1685, her married name became Brisbane.

     John Brisbane of Brisbane was the son of James Shaw and Elizabeth Brisbane.^2,3 He married, firstly, Prudence Square, daughter of Thomas Square.³ He married, secondly, Margaret Stewart, daughter of Sir Archibald Stewart of Blackhall, 1st Bt. and Ann Crawfurd, in 1685.¹ He died before 2 May 1757.³
     He was given the name of John Shaw at birth.³

     Beatrice Florence Diana Bulteel was born in 1881 at Plympton, Devon, England^G.¹ She was the daughter of Christopher Harris Bulteel and Mary Florence Coulthard.¹ She married Charles Edward Evans in 1908 at Newton Abbot, Devon, England^G.¹ She died in 1971.¹
     From 1908, her married name became Evans.¹
