Elizabeth Fortescue was born on 3 April 1745. She was the daughter of Chichester Fortescue and Hon. Elizabeth Wesley.1 She married General William John Kerr, 5th Marquess of Lothian, son of General William Henry Kerr, 4th Marquess of Lothian and Lady Caroline Darcy, on 15 July 1762 at IrelandG.3 She died on 30 September 1780 at age 35 at London, EnglandG.3
Her married name became Kerr. After her marriage, Elizabeth Fortescue was styled as Marchioness of Lothian on 12 April 1775.
