Sir Arthur Edward Ian Montagu Russell, 6th Bt. 
He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.1 He fought in the First World War.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Royal Engineers.1 He was appointed Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.) in 1920.1 He graduated between 1939 and 1942 with a President of the Mineralogical Society, Great Britain.1 He succeeded as the 6th Baronet Russell, of Swallowfield, Berkshire [U.K., 1812] on 14 January 1944.1 He was awarded the honorary degree of Doctor of Science (D.Sc.) by Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, in 1956.1
