     James Edward Colleton was born circa 1709.² He was the son of John Colleton and Elizabeth Ernle.² He married Lady Anne Cowper, daughter of William Cowper, 1st Earl Cowper and Mary Clavering, in 1731.¹ He married Frances Jennings, daughter of Philip Jennings, on 30 March 1754.² He died on 30 August 1790.²
     He lived at Haynes Hill, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Lostwithiel between 1747 and 1768.² He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for St. Mawes between 1772 and 1774.²

     Hon. Edward Spencer Cowper was born in 1779.¹ He was the son of George Nassau Clavering-Cowper, 3rd Earl Cowper and Hannah Anne Gore.¹ He married Catherine March Phillipps, daughter of Thomas March Phillipps and Susan Lisle, on 23 May 1808.^1,2 He died on 1 February 1823.²
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.)¹ He lived at Digswell, Hertfordshire, England^G.¹

     Catherine March Phillipps was the daughter of Thomas March Phillipps and Susan Lisle.^1,2 She married, firstly, Hon. Edward Spencer Cowper, son of George Nassau Clavering-Cowper, 3rd Earl Cowper and Hannah Anne Gore, on 23 May 1808.^1,2 She married, secondly, Reverend G. A. Hamilton on 29 January 1827.² She died in 1830, without issue.²
     From 23 May 1808, her married name became Cowper.¹ From 29 January 1827, her married name became Hamilton.²

     Hon. Henry Frederick Cowper was born on 18 April 1836.¹ He was the son of George Augustus Frederick Cowper, 6th Earl Cowper and Anne Florence Weddell, Baroness Lucas.¹ He died on 10 November 1887 at age 51.¹
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Hertfordshire between 1865 and 1885.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)² He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)²

     Lady Henrietta Emily Mary Cowper was the daughter of George Augustus Frederick Cowper, 6th Earl Cowper and Anne Florence Weddell, Baroness Lucas.¹ She died on 28 June 1853, unmarried.¹

     Lady Katrine Cecilia Compton was born in 1845.² She was the daughter of Admiral William Compton, 4th Marquess of Northampton and Eliza Elliot.^1,3 She married Francis Thomas de Grey Cowper, 7th Earl Cowper, son of George Augustus Frederick Cowper, 6th Earl Cowper and Anne Florence Weddell, Baroness Lucas, on 25 October 1870.¹ She died on 23 March 1913.⁴
     After her marriage, Lady Katrine Cecilia Compton was styled as Countess Cowper on 25 October 1870. From 25 October 1870, her married name became Cowper.¹

     John Crew was born circa 1524.¹ He married Alice Mainwaring, daughter of Humphrey Mainwaring.¹ He died in 1598.¹
