     William Fairlie was born on 8 September 1754 at Kilmarnock, Ayrshire, Scotland.³ He was the son of John Fairlie and Agnes Muir.⁴ He was baptised on 15 September 1754 at Kilmarnock, Ayrshire, Scotland.⁵ He married Margaret Ogilvy, daughter of John Ogilvie and Jane Smith, on 17 February 1798 at Bengal, India.⁵ He died on 24 March 1825 at age 70 at London, England.^2,3

     Major Robert Duncan Fergusson was born on 16 September 1813.¹ He was the son of Sir James Fergusson of Kilkerran, 4th Bt. and Hon. Henrietta Duncan.² He married, firstly, Helen Blackburn, daughter of John Blackburn, on 30 January 1852.¹ He married, secondly, Margaret Eliza Fairlie, daughter of William Fairlie and Margaret Ogilvy, on 21 May 1866 at St. Cuthbert’s Church, Edinburgh, Midkothian, Scotland.^1,3 He died on 15 February 1878 at age 64.¹
     He gained the rank of Officer in the Rifle Brigade.¹ He gained the rank of Major in the Royal Ayrshire and Wigton Rifles.¹ He lived at Cassillis, Ayrshire, Scotland^G.²

     Helen Blackburn was the daughter of John Blackburn.¹ She married Major Robert Duncan Fergusson, son of Sir James Fergusson of Kilkerran, 4th Bt. and Hon. Henrietta Duncan, on 30 January 1852.² She died on 21 July 1863.²
     Her married name became Fergusson.

     Captain Robert Bruce, Master of Burleigh was born on 25 September 1880 at Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland^G.¹ He was the son of Alexander Hugh Bruce, 6th Lord Balfour of Burleigh and Lady Katherine Eliza Gordon.¹ He died on 26 August 1914 at age 33 at Le Cateau, France^G, killed in action.²
     He was styled as Master of Burleigh between 1880 and 1914.¹ He was educated between 1893 and 1897 at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.² He gained the rank of Captain in the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders.² He fought in the Boer War between 1900 and 1902, where he won two medals with five clasps.² He gained the rank of officer between 1910 and 1914 in the Egyptian Army.³ He fought in the campaign in the Sudan in 1912, where he won a medal with clasp.³ He was awarded the Order of the Medjidie 4th class.³ He fought in the First World War in 1914.²

     Jean Dalrymple was baptised on 12 June 1777 at Inveresk, East Lothian, Scotland^G.² She was the daughter of Sir David Dalrymple, 3rd Bt. and Helen Fergusson.³ She married Sir James Fergusson of Kilkerran, 4th Bt., son of Charles Fergusson and Anne Fordyce, on 8 November 1799 at Inveresk, East Lothian, Scotland^G.^1,2 She died on 6 May 1803 at age 25.¹
     Her married name became Fergusson.

     Sir David Dalrymple, 3rd Bt. was born on 28 October 1726.¹ He was the son of Sir James Dalrymple of Hailes, 2nd Bt. and Lady Christian Hamilton.¹ He married, secondly, Helen Fergusson, daughter of Sir James Fergusson of Kilkerran, 2nd Bt. and Jane Maitland, on 20 March 1770.² He married, firstly, Anne Broun, daughter of George Broun of Coulston, Lord Coulston, on 12 November 1763.¹ He died on 29 November 1792 at age 66.¹
     He was admitted to Advocate in 1748.¹ He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Dalrymple, of Hailes, co. Haddington [N.S., 1700] on 24 February 1751.¹ He graduated from Edinburgh University, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland, with a Doctor of Law (LL.D.)¹ He was styled as Lord Hailes [Scottish Law Lord] in 1766.¹ He held the office of Lord of Session in 1766.¹ He held the office of Lord of Justiciary in 1776.³

     Hon. Henrietta Duncan was baptised on 17 May 1782 at Gosport, Hampshire, England^G.² She was the daughter of Admiral Adam Duncan, 1st Viscount Duncan of Camperdown and Henrietta Dundas.¹ She married Sir James Fergusson of Kilkerran, 4th Bt., son of Charles Fergusson and Anne Fordyce, on 5 December 1804 at St. Cuthberts, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland^G.^3,2 She died on 14 May 1850 at age 67.³
     Her married name became Fergusson.

     Sir John Stonhouse, 1st/3rd Bt. was born circa 1608.² He was the son of Sir William Stonhouse, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Powell.³ He married Hon. Margaret Lovelace, daughter of Richard Lovelace, 1st Baron Lovelace of Hurley and Margaret Dodsworth, on 22 April 1633.² He died circa 1675.²
     He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Stonhouse, of Radley, Berkshire [E., 1628] circa 14 June 1632.² He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Abingdon between April 1640 and May 1640.² He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Abingdon from November 1640 to January 1643/44.² He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Abingdon in 1660.² He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Abingdon between 1661 and 1675.² He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.)⁴ He attempted (ajudged illegal in English law) to surrender his original baronetcy for regrant.² He was created 1st Baronet Stonhouse, of Radley, Berkshire [England] on 5 May 1670, with precedence of 1628 and special remainder to his younger sons (he having disinherited the eldest, allegedly for marrying without paternal consent.)²

     Charles Fergusson was born on 26 January 1740.¹ He was the son of Sir James Fergusson of Kilkerran, 2nd Bt. and Jane Maitland.² He married Anne Fordyce, daughter of Thomas Fordyce, on 21 December 1764.¹ He died on 9 December 1804 at age 64.¹
