He was Warden of the Middle March.3 On 24 January 1592 he had charters of Ormistoun and Maxtoun.3 On 20 July 1595 he had charters of the Barony of Ernebeuch.3 He lived at Cessford, ScotlandG.5

Robert Ker, 1st Earl of Roxburghe1 
In 1590 he brought about the murder of his cousin, William Ker of Ancram and Woodheid, foe which his possessions were seized and he was forced to leave the country.3 He was appointed Knight in 1590.3 In 1591 he was pardoned.3 He held the office of Warden Depute of the Middle March in 1593.3 He succeeded as the 1st Lord Roxburghe [Scotland] on 16 November 1600.3 He was Commissioner of the Scottish Exchequer in 1610.3 He was created 1st Lord Ker of Cessford and Caverton [Scotland] on 18 September 1616, with special remainder to his heirs male.3 He was created 1st Earl of Roxburghe [Scotland] on 18 September 1616, with special remainder to his heirs male.3 He held the office of Lord Privy Seal [Scotland] between February 1637 and 1648/49.4 On 31 July 1646 he obtained a regrant of his titles and estates to the heirs male of his body, and whom failing, to any heirs he might nominate.3 On 23 February 1647/48 he nominated as his heir (a) his grandson Sir William Drummond and his issue in tail male; (b) the three successive younger sons of his grandaughter Jean and their heirs male, provided the heir succeding should marry the eldest daughter of his son Harry, Lord Ker; (c) the daughters of Harry, Lord Ker by primogeniture; and (d) his own heirs male whatsoever.3 He held the office of Lord Privy Seal [Scotland] before January 1649/50.4

Alexander Montgomerie, 6th Earl of Eglinton1 
He was given the name of Alexander Seton at birth.1 He gained the title of 6th Earl of Eglinton [S., 1507] on 4 September 1612.1 He succeeded as the 7th Lord Montgomerie [S., 1445] on 4 September 1612.1 On 24 March 1615 he resigned his titles, and had a regrant.1 He fought in the Battle of Marston Moor in 1644, for the Parliamentarians.1 He gained the rank of Captain in 1650 in the Horse Guards, for King Charles II.1 Between 1651 and 1660 he was imprisoned.1

John Edward Hollister Montagu, 11th Earl of Sandwich1
John Edward Hollister Montagu, 11th Earl of Sandwich was born on 11 April 1943.1 He is the son of Alexander Victor Edward Paulet Montagu, 10th Earl of Sandwich and Maud Rosemary Peto.3 He married Susan Caroline Hayman, daughter of Reverend Perceval Ecroyd Cobham Hayman and Sylvia Gamble, on 1 July 1968.1
He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.1 He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1965 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He wrote the book The Book of the World, published 1971.1 He was with Christian Aid between 1974 and 1986.1 He was editor for Save The Children Fund between 1987 and 1992.1 He wrote the book Prospects for Africa’s Children, published 1990.1 He succeeded as the 11th Viscount Hinchingbrooke, co. Huntingdon [E., 1660] on 25 February 1995.1 He succeeded as the 11th Earl of Sandwich, co. Kent [E., 1660] on 25 February 1995.1 He succeeded as the 11th Baron Montagu of St. Neots, co. Huntingdon [E., 1660] on 25 February 1995.1
