     He held the office of Provost of Elgin.¹

     Marjorie Innes is the daughter of Sir James Innes of that Ilk, 3rd Bt. and Margaret Ker.¹ She married unknown MacDougall of Mackerstoun.¹
     Her married name became MacDougall.¹

     Mary Innes is the daughter of Sir James Innes of that Ilk, 3rd Bt. and Margaret Ker.¹ She married Reverend John Urquhart.¹
     Her married name became Urquhart.¹

     Reverend John Urquhart married Mary Innes, daughter of Sir James Innes of that Ilk, 3rd Bt. and Margaret Ker.¹ He died on 31 October 1721.¹
     He was Minister at Urquhart, Inverness-shire, Scotland^G.¹

     Sir Mark Ker of Ormistoun was the son of Sir William Ker of Cessford and Janet Douglas.¹ He died in September 1603, without issue.¹
