     Richard Eric Onslow Long, 3rd Viscount Long was born on 22 August 1892 at Rood Ashton, Wiltshire, England^G.^1,2 He was the son of Walter Hume Long, 1st Viscount Long and Lady Dorothy Blanche Boyle.¹ He was baptised on 26 September 1892 at St. John’s Church, West Ashton, Wiltshire, England^G.² He married Gwendolyn Hague Cook, daughter of Thomas Reginald Hague Cook, on 21 October 1916 at St. Margaret’s Church, Westminster, London, England^G.^1,2 He died on 12 January 1967 at age 74 at Forbes Fraser Hospital, Bath, Somerset, England^G.^1,2 He was buried on 18 January 1967 at Rood Ashton, Wiltshire, England^G.²

     He was given the name of George William Evelyn at birth.¹ He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.¹ He was educated at St. John’s College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England.¹ He succeeded as the 13th Earl of Rothes [S., 1458] in 1810.¹ He succeeded as the 13th Lord Leslie [S., 1445] in 1810.¹ He was appointed Representative Peer [Scotland] between 1812 and 1817.¹

     Thomas Pelham, 1st Earl of Chichester was born on 28 February 1728.¹ He was the son of Thomas Pelham and Annetta Bridges.¹ He married Anne Frankland, daughter of Frederick Meinhardt Frankland and Elizabeth Bawdowin, on 15 June 1754 at Mortlake, Surrey, England^G.¹ He died on 8 January 1805 at age 76 at Stanmer, Sussex, England^G.¹ He was buried at Laughton, Sussex, England^G.¹ His will was proven (by probate) in February 1805.¹
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.)      Hon. Henrietta Anne Pelham was the daughter of Thomas Pelham, 1st Earl of Chichester and Anne Frankland.² She married George William Evelyn-Leslie, 13th Earl of Rothes, son of George Raymond Evelyn and Jane Elizabeth Leslie, Countess of Rothes, on 24 May 1789.¹ She died in 1797.¹
     Her married name became Evelyn-Leslie.

     Charlotte Julia Campbell was baptised on 26 June 1769 at Blunham, Bedfordshire, England.² She was the daughter of Colonel John Campbell of Dunoon.³ She married George William Evelyn-Leslie, 13th Earl of Rothes, son of George Raymond Evelyn and Jane Elizabeth Leslie, Countess of Rothes, in 1798.³ She died on 21 May 1846 at age 76.³
     From 1798, her married name became Evelyn-Leslie. After her marriage, Charlotte Julia Campbell was styled as Countess of Rothes in 1810.

     Colonel John Campbell of Dunoon lived at Dunoon, Argyllshire, Scotland^G.¹
