Harry Willis Darell de Windt was born on 9 April 1856 at Paris, FranceG.3 He was the son of Captain Joseph Clayton Jennyns de Windt and Elizabeth Sarah Johnson.2 He married Frances Laura Arabella Long, daughter of Richard Penruddocke Long and Charlotte Anna Hume, on 18 July 1882 at St. George’s Church, St. George Street, Hanover Square, London, EnglandG.1,3 He and Frances Laura Arabella Long were divorced in 1888.1 He married, secondly, Hilda Frances E. Clark, daughter of Reverend William Robinson Clark and Elizabeth Jane Higgins, in 1899 at Marylebone, London, England.2 He married Charlotte Elizabeth Ihle in 1927.4 He died on 30 November 1933 at age 77 at Bournemouth, Hampshire, EnglandG.1,3,2
He was appointed Fellow, Royal Geographical Society (F.R.G.S.)3
