Rt. Hon. Lord Richard Frederick Cavendish1 
Rt. Hon. Lord Richard Frederick Cavendish was born on 31 January 1871.3 He was the son of Lord Edward Cavendish and Hon. Emma Elizabeth Lascelles.3 He married Lady Moyra de Vere Beauclerk, daughter of William Ameleus Aubrey de Vere Beauclerk, 10th Duke of Saint Albans and Grace Bernal-Osborne, on 31 July 1895.3 He died on 7 January 1946 at age 74.3
He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)3 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Lonsdale between 1895 and 1906.3 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Lancashire.3 He was Private Secretary to the Secretary of State for India.3 He gained the rank of Honorary Colonel in the 4th Batttalion, Royal Lancashire Regiment.3 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Lancashire.3 In November 1908 he was granted the rank of a duke’s younger son.3 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) in 1912.1 He fought in the First World War, where he was wounded and was mentioned in despatches.3 He was appointed Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.) in 1915.1 He was awarded the Territorial Decoration (T.D.)3 He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1919.1 He gained the rank of Honorary Colonel in the 56th (Ling’s Own Regiment) Anti-Tank Regiment.3
