     Colonel John Stirling Stirling of Gargunnock was born on 21 December 1832.² He was the son of Charles Stirling of Gargunnock and Christian Hamilton.² He married Henrietta Charlotte Buchanan on 8 March 1871.^1,2 He died on 18 May 1900 at age 67 at Gargunnock, Stirlingshire, Scotland^G.¹ His will (dated 18 October 1880) was proven (by probate) on 4 July 1900, at £25,054.¹
