He was the son of Pierre de Polignac, Prince of Valentinois and Charlotte Grimaldi, Duchess of Valentinois. He married Grace Patricia Kelly, daughter of John Brendan Kelly and Margaret Katherine Maier, on 18 April 1956. He died on 6 April 2005 at age 81 at Cardio-Thoracic Center, Monaco^G.³
     He succeeded as the Prince Rainier III de Monaco (styled as HSH Prince of Monaco) in 1949.⁴

     Maximilian IV (I) Joseph König von Bayern was born on 27 May 1756 at Mannheim, Baden-Württemburg, Germany.² He was the son of Friedrich Michael Pfalzgraf von Zweibrücken-Birkenfeld and Maria Franziska Dorothea Pfalzgräfin von Sulzbach.³ He married, firstly, Auguste Wilhelmine Prinzessin von Hessen-Darmstadt, daughter of Georg Wilhelm Landgraf von Hessen-Darmstadt and Marie Luise Gräfin zu Leiningen-Dagsburg-Heidesheim, on 30 September 1785 at Darmstadt, Hessen, Germany^G.³ He married, secondly, Friederike Karoline Wilhelmine Prinzessin von Baden, daughter of Karl Ludwig Markgraf von Baden and Amalie Friederike Prinzessin von Hessen-Darmstadt, on 30 March 1797.⁴ He died on 13 October 1825 at age 69 at Schloss Nymphenburg, Germany^G. He was buried at Theatinerkirche, Munich, Bavaria, Germany^G.
     He was a member of the House of Wittelsbach.⁵ He gained the title of Herzog von Zweibrücken in 1795.⁶ He succeeded as the Kurfürst von Bayern in 1799.⁶ He was created Maximilian I König von Bayern in 1805.⁶

     Sophie Prinzessin von Bayern was born on 27 January 1805 at Munich, Bavaria, Germany^G.¹ She was the daughter of Maximilian IV (I) Joseph König von Bayern and Friederike Karoline Wilhelmine Prinzessin von Baden.¹ She married Franz Karl Joseph Erzherzog von Österreich, son of Franz II Joseph Karl von Österreich, Holy Roman Emperor and Maria Teresa Carolina Josephine di Borbone, Principessa delle Due Sicilie, on 4 November 1824 at Vienna, Austria^G.¹ She died on 28 May 1872 at age 67 at Vienna, Austria^G.¹ She was buried at Capuchin Church, Vienna, Austria^G.¹
     She gained the title of Prinzessin von Bayern.¹ She was given the name of Friederike Sophie Dorothea Wilhelmine at birth.¹

     Franz Karl Joseph Erzherzog von Österreich was born on 7 December 1802 at Vienna, Austria^G.¹ He was the son of Franz II Joseph Karl von Österreich, Holy Roman Emperor and Maria Teresa Carolina Josephine di Borbone, Principessa delle Due Sicilie.² He married Sophie Prinzessin von Bayern, daughter of Maximilian IV (I) Joseph König von Bayern and Friederike Karoline Wilhelmine Prinzessin von Baden, on 4 November 1824 at Vienna, Austria^G.¹ He died on 8 March 1878 at age 75 at Vienna, Austria^G.¹
     He was a member of the House of Habsburg-Lorraine.¹ He gained the title of Erzherzog von Österreich.¹ He abdicated as rights to the Austrian succession on 2 December 1848.² He was appointed Knight, Order of the Golden Fleece.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant Field Marshal in the Austrian Army.¹

     Otto Franz Josef Erzherzog von Österreich was born on 21 April 1865 at Graz, Austria^G.² He was the son of Karl Ludwig Joseph Maria Erzherzog von Österreich and Marie Annunciade di Borbone, Principessa di Borbone delle Due Sicilie.³ He married Maria Josepha Prinzessin von Sachsen, daughter of Georg I Friedrich August Georg König von Sachsen and Maria Ana de Bragança e Saxe-Coburgo-Gotha, Infanta de Portugal, on 2 October 1886 at Dresden, Sachsen, Germany^G.² He died on 1 November 1906 at age 41 at Vienna, Austria^G.²
     He was a member of the House of Habsburg-Lorraine. He gained the title of Erzherzog von Österreich.¹ He was given the name of Otto Franz Josef Karl Ludwig Maria at birth.³

     Elisabeth Amelie Erzherzogin von Österreich was born on 7 July 1878 at Reichenau, Germany^G.² She was the daughter of Karl Ludwig Joseph Maria Erzherzog von Österreich and Maria Teresa da Immaculda de Bragança, Infanta de Portugal.² She married Aloise Prinz von und zu Liechtenstein, son of Alfred Prinz von und zu Liechtenstein and Henriette von Liechtenstein, on 20 April 1903 at Vienna, Austria^G.² She died on 13 March 1960 at age 81 at Vaduz, Liechtenstein^G.²
     She was a member of the House of Habsburg-Lorraine. She gained the title of Erzherzogin von Österreich.¹ She was given the name of Elisabeth Amalie Eugenia Maria Theresia Karoline Luise Josepha at birth.²

     Maria Josepha Prinzessin von Sachsen was born on 31 May 1867 at Dresden, Sachsen, Germany^G.³ She was the daughter of Georg I Friedrich August Georg König von Sachsen and Maria Ana de Bragança e Saxe-Coburgo-Gotha, Infanta de Portugal.¹ She married Otto Franz Josef Erzherzog von Österreich, son of Karl Ludwig Joseph Maria Erzherzog von Österreich and Marie Annunciade di Borbone, Principessa di Borbone delle Due Sicilie, on 2 October 1886 at Dresden, Sachsen, Germany^G.³ She died on 28 May 1944 at age 76 at Schloss Wildenwart, Bayern, Germany^G.³
     She gained the title of Prinzessin von Sachsen.¹ She was given the name of Maria Josepha Luise Philippine Elisabeth Pia Angelika Margarete at birth.⁴

     Karl I Kaiser von Österreich was born on 17 August 1887 at Persenbeug, Austria^G.² He was the son of Otto Franz Josef Erzherzog von Österreich and Maria Josepha Prinzessin von Sachsen.¹ He married Zita Maria delle Grazie di Borbone, Principessa di Parma, daughter of Roberto I di Borbone, Duca di Parma and Maria Antonia Adelaide de Bragança, Infanta de Portugal, on 21 October 1911 at Schwarzau am Steinfelde, Austria^G.² He died on 1 April 1922 at age 34 at Funchal, Madeira, Portugal^G.² He was buried at Funchal, Madeira, Portugal^G.³
     He gained the title of Erzherzog von Österreich.¹ He was given the name of Karl Franz Joseph Ludwig Hubert Georg Otto Maria at birth.¹ He succeeded as the Karl I Kaiser von Österreich on 21 November 1916.² He abdicated as Emperor of Austria on 9 November 1918.²

     Zita Maria delle Grazie di Borbone, Principessa di Parma was born on 9 May 1892 at Villa Pianore, Province di Lucca, Italy.¹ She was the daughter of Roberto I di Borbone, Duca di Parma and Maria Antonia Adelaide de Bragança, Infanta de Portugal.¹ She married Karl I Kaiser von Österreich, son of Otto Franz Josef Erzherzog von Österreich and Maria Josepha Prinzessin von Sachsen, on 21 October 1911 at Schwarzau am Steinfelde, Austria^G.¹ She died on 14 March 1989 at age 96 at Zizers, Kanton Graubünden, Switzerland^G.
     She gained the title of Principessa Zita di Parma.¹ She was given the name of Zita Marie der Gnaden Adelgunde Michaele Raphaele Gabriele Josphine Antonie Luise Agnes at birth.³ She lived in 1976 at Johannesstift, Zizers, Kanton Graubünden, Switzerland^G.³

     Otto Erzherzog von Österreich was born on 20 November 1912 at Villa Wartholz, near Reichenau^G.³ He was the son of Karl I Kaiser von Österreich and Zita Maria delle Grazie di Borbone, Principessa di Parma.¹ He married Regina Helene Elisabeth Margarete Prinzessin von Sachsen-Meiningen, daughter of Georg III Herzog von Sachsen-Meiningen and Klara-Marie Gräfin von Korff gennant Schmising-Kerssenbrock, on 10 May 1951 at Nancy, France^G.⁴ He died on 3 July 2011 at age 98.
     He was also known as Franz Joseph Otto Robert Maria Anton Karl Max Heinrich Sixtus Xaver Felix Renatus Ludwig Gaetan Pius Ignatius.¹ He was appointed Imperial Austrian Order of Leopold.³ He was appointed Order of the Iron Crown.³ He was appointed Bailiff Grand Cross, Sovereign Military Order of Malta.³ He was appointed Royal Hungarian Order of St. Stephan.³ He was also known as Dr. Otto von Habsburg.³ He was appointed Knight, Order of the Golden Fleece.³ He was appointed Grand Master, Military Maria Theresia Order.³
