Sir Charles Clow Tennant of The Glen, 1st Bt.1,2 
He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Liberal) for Glasgow between 1879 and 1880.3 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Liberal) for Peebles and Selkirk between 1880 and 1886.3 He was recognised by Lord Lyon King of Arms, and matriculated his arms at the Lyons Court in 1885.3 He was created 1st Baronet Tennant [U.K.] on 17 July 1885.4 He gained the rank of Honorary Colonel in the 4th Volunteer Battalion, Cameronians.3 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)3 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)3

Peebles [U.K.] on 3 April 1911.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Wiltshire.1

John Beauchamp, 1st Lord Beauchamp (of Somerset)1 
He fought in the Scottish wars.1 On 17 September 1295 he had seizin of his father’s lands.1 He was created 1st Lord Beauchamp, of Somerset [England by writ] on 29 December 1299.1 He was appointed Knight on 22 May 1306.1 In 1321 he suceeded to the extensive estates of his mother, including Sturminster Marshal, Dorset and Bullingham, Cambridgeshire.1 He held the office of Governor of Sturminster Castle in 1325.1
Note that the House of Lords, Committee for Privileges found in 1924 that there was no proof that neither John Beauchamp nor his son had actually sat in Parliament following their writ of summons.2
