Emma Alice Margaret Tennant1 

Emma Alice Margaret Tennant was born on 2 February 1864 at Peebles-shire, ScotlandG.4 She was the daughter of Sir Charles Clow Tennant of The Glen, 1st Bt. and Emma Winsloe.5,1 She married Herbert Henry Asquith, 1st Earl of Oxford and Asquith, son of Joseph Dixon Asquith and Emily Willans, on 10 May 1894.1 She died on 28 July 1945 at age 81.1
Emma Alice Margaret Tennant also went by the nick-name of Margot.1 Her married name became Asquith. After her marriage, Emma Alice Margaret Tennant was styled as Countess of Oxford and Asquith on 9 February 1925. She has an extensive biographical entry in the Dictionary of National Biography.6
