     Mary Dahlgren Paul was the daughter of James William Paul.¹ She married William Waldorf Astor, 1st Viscount Astor, son of Colonel John Jacob Astor and Charlotte Augusta Gibbes, on 6 June 1878.¹ She died on 22 December 1894.¹
     Mary Dahlgren Paul also went by the nick-name of Mamie.² Her married name became Astor.

     James William Paul lived at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, U.S.A.^G.¹

     Sir Archer Denman Croft, 8th Bt. was born on 7 December 1801.¹ He was the son of Sir Richard Croft, 6th Bt. and Margaret Denman.¹ He married Julia Barbara Garstin, daughter of Maj.-Gen. John Garstin, on 31 August 1837.¹ He died on 10 January 1865 at age 63.¹
     He succeeded as the 8th Baronet Croft, of Croft Castle, co. Hereford [E., 1671] on 29 October 1835.¹ He held the office of Master of the Court of the Queen’s Bench.¹

     Hon. Pauline Astor was born in 1880.³ She was the daughter of William Waldorf Astor, 1st Viscount Astor and Mary Dahlgren Paul.¹ She married Lt.-Col. Rt. Hon. Herbert Henry Spender Clay, son of Joseph Spender Clay and Elizabeth Sydney Jane Garrett, on 29 October 1904.¹ She died on 5 May 1972.¹
     Her married name became Spender Clay. She held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Surrey in 1920.¹

     Hon. Philip Douglas Paul Astor was born on 4 April 1959.¹ He is the son of Gavin Astor, 2nd Baron Astor of Hever and Lady Irene Violet Freesia Janet Augusta Haig.¹ He married, secondly, Justine H. Picardie, daughter of Michael Picardie, in July 2012.²
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He was educated at Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G.¹ He was a barrister.¹ He lived in 1999 at Flat 3, 6 Embankment Gardens, London, England^G.¹

     Hon. Bridget Mary Astor was born on 16 February 1948.¹ She was the daughter of Gavin Astor, 2nd Baron Astor of Hever and Lady Irene Violet Freesia Janet Augusta Haig.¹ She married, firstly, Count Arthur Tarnowski, son of Count Hieronim Tarnowski and Countess Wanda Zamoyska, in 1980.¹ She and Count Arthur Tarnowski were divorced in 1986.¹ She married, secondly, Geofrey Richard Smith, son of James William Smith, in 1989.¹ She died on 8 January 2017 at age 68.²
