     Charles IV, Duc de Lorraine was born in 1604. He was the son of François II, Duc de Lorraine and Christine Gräfin von Salm.1 He married, firstly, Nicolaea, Duchesse de Lorraine, daughter of Henri II, Duc de Lorraine and Margherita Gonzaga, in 1621.1 He and Nicolaea, Duchesse de Lorraine were divorced in 1635. He married, secondly, Beatrix de Cusance in 1637. He married, thirdly, Marie Louise d‘Aspremont in 1665. He died in 1675.
     He succeeded as the Duc de Lorraine in 1625.1 He was deposed as Duc de Lorraine in 1634. He gained the title of Duc de Lorraine in 1659.

She died on 7 February 1632 at age 40 at Nancy, FranceG.1
