     Reverend Richard Croft was born on 22 August 1808.¹ He was the son of Sir Richard Croft, 6th Bt. and Margaret Denman.¹ He married, firstly, Charlotte Leonora Russell, daughter of Lt.-Col. unknown Russell, on 15 October 1839.¹ He married, secondly, Louisa Holland, daughter of Samuel Holland, in 1856.² He died on 17 February 1869 at age 60.²
     He was the Vicar at Hillingdon, London, England^G.¹

     Charlotte Leonora Russell was the daughter of Lt.-Col. unknown Russell.¹ She married Reverend Richard Croft, son of Sir Richard Croft, 6th Bt. and Margaret Denman, on 15 October 1839.¹ She died on 9 November 1854.¹
     Her married name became Croft.

     Louisa Holland was the daughter of Samuel Holland.¹ She married Reverend Richard Croft, son of Sir Richard Croft, 6th Bt. and Margaret Denman, in 1856.¹ She died on 9 December 1898, without issue.¹
     Her married name became Croft.

     Margaret Denman was the daughter of Thomas Denman and Elizabeth Brodie.¹ She married Sir Richard Croft, 6th Bt., son of Herbert Croft and Elizabeth Young, on 13 November 1789.¹ She was also reported to have been married on 3 November 1789.² She died on 4 September 1847.¹ She was also reported to have died on 24 September 1847.²
     Her married name became Croft.

     Thomas Denman was born on 27 June 1733.² He was the son of John Denman and Elizabeth Buxton.² He married Elizabeth Brodie, daughter of Alexander Brodie and Margaret Shaw, on 1 November 1770.² He died on 26 November 1815 at age 82.²
     He graduated with a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.)¹ He was a physician.² He lived at Mount Street, Mayfair, London, England^G.¹

     Sir Thomas Elmsley Croft, 7th Bt. was born on 2 September 1798.¹ He was the son of Sir Richard Croft, 6th Bt. and Margaret Denman.¹ He married Sophia Jane Lateward, daughter of Richard Lateward, on 9 September 1824.¹ He died on 29 October 1835 at age 37.¹
     He fought in the Battle of Quatre Bras on 16 June 1815, where he was severely wounded.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the 2nd Battalion, 1st Foot Guards.¹ He succeeded as the 7th Baronet Croft, of Croft Castle, co. Hereford [E., 1671] on 13 February 1818.¹ He was appointed Fellow, Society of Antiquaries (F.S.A.)¹

     Sophia Jane Lateward was the daughter of Richard Lateward.¹ She married, firstly, Sir Thomas Elmsley Croft, 7th Bt., son of Sir Richard Croft, 6th Bt. and Margaret Denman, on 9 September 1824.¹ She married, secondly, Colonel William Lyster on 7 November 1835.¹ She died on 10 December 1890.¹
     From 9 September 1824, her married name became Croft. From 7 November 1835, her married name became Lyster.

     Colonel William Lyster married Sophia Jane Lateward, daughter of Richard Lateward, on 7 November 1835.¹

     Captain Edward Murray was born on 3 March 1825.¹ He was the son of Edward Murray and Catherine Josephine Adelaide de Belloquet.^1,2 He married Grace Croft, daughter of Sir Thomas Elmsley Croft, 7th Bt. and Sophia Jane Lateward, on 5 March 1846.² He died in 1893.¹
     He gained the rank of Captain in the Militia.¹

     Maj.-Gen. John Garstin gained the rank of Major-General in the Honourble East India Company Service.¹
