Barbara Chase was the daughter of Harold Stuart Chase and Gertrude Boyer.1,3 She married George John Charles Mercer Nairne Petty-FitzMaurice, 8th Marquess of Lansdowne, son of Major Lord Charles George Francis Mercer Nairne Petty-FitzMaurice and Lady Violet Mary Elliot-Murray-Kynynmound, on 18 March 1938.1 She died on 17 February 1965.1
From 18 March 1938, her married name became Mercer Nairne.1 After her marriage, Barbara Chase was styled as Marchioness of Lansdowne on 20 August 1944. From 1947, her married name became Mercer Nairne Petty-FitzMaurice.

Gavin Astor, 2nd Baron Astor of Hever1 

Gavin Astor, 2nd Baron Astor of Hever was born on 1 June 1918.1 He was the son of Lt.-Col. John Jacob Astor, 1st Baron Astor of Hever and Lady Violet Mary Elliot-Murray-Kynynmound.1 He married Lady Irene Violet Freesia Janet Augusta Haig, daughter of Field Marshal Douglas Haig, 1st Earl Haig and Hon. Dorothy Maud Vivian, on 4 October 1945.1 He died on 28 June 1984 at age 66 at Tarland, Aberdeenshire, Scotland.3

Lady Irene Violet Freesia Janet Augusta Haig1 

Lady Irene Violet Freesia Janet Augusta Haig was born on 7 October 1919.3 She was the daughter of Field Marshal Douglas Haig, 1st Earl Haig and Hon. Dorothy Maud Vivian.1,3 She married Gavin Astor, 2nd Baron Astor of Hever, son of Lt.-Col. John Jacob Astor, 1st Baron Astor of Hever and Lady Violet Mary Elliot-Murray-Kynynmound, on 4 October 1945.1 She died in 2001.4
Her married name became Astor. After her marriage, Lady Irene Violet Freesia Janet Augusta Haig was styled as Baroness Astor of Hever on 19 July 1971. She was appointed Commander, Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (C.St.J.)3 She lived in 1999 at Hollytree House, Frenchstreet, Westerham, Kent, EnglandG.5
