     Massey Henry Edgecumbe Lopes, 2nd Baron Roborough was born on 4 October 1903.3 He was the son of Henry Yarde-Buller Lopes, 1st Baron Roborough and Lady Alberta Louise Florence Edgcumbe.1 He married Helen Dawson, daughter of Lt.-Col. Edward Alfred Finch Dawson, on 15 October 1936.3 He died in July 1992 at age 88 at Tavistock, Devon, England.3,2
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.3 He graduated from Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)3 He was Aide-de-Camp to the Governor-General and Commander-in-Chief, South Africa between 1936 and 1937.3 He succeeded as the 2nd Baron Roborough, of Maristow, co. Devon [U.K., 1938] on 14 April 1938.4 He succeeded as the 5th Baronet Lopes [U.K., 1805] on 14 April 1938.4 He fought in the Second World War, where he was wounded.3 He gained the rank of Major in the Royal Scots Guards.3 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) in 1946.3 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Devon in 1951.3 He held the office of Vice-Lord-Lieutenant of Devon between 1951 and 1958.3 He held the office of Lord-Lieutenant of Devon between 1958 and 1978.3 He was appointed Knight, Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (K.St.J.)3

Charles II de Lorraine, Duc de Elboeuf1

     Charles II de Lorraine, Duc de Elboeuf was born on 5 November 1596.1 He was the son of Charles I de Lorraine, Duc de Elboeuf and Marguerite de Chabot de Charmy.1 He married Catherine Henriette de Bourbon, daughter of Henri IV, Roi de France and Gabrielle d‘Estrées, Duchesse de Beaufort, on 20 February 1619.1 He died on 5 November 1657 at age 61.1
     He gained the title of Duc de Elboeuf.1
