     Frances Dillon was the daughter of Richard Dillon, 9th Viscount Dillon of Costello-Gallin and Lady Bridget Bourke. She married Charles Dillon, 10th Viscount Dillon of Costello-Gallin, son of Lt.-Gen. Arthur Dillon, Comte Dillon and Christina Sheldon, on 16 January 1734/35. She died on 17 January 1738/39.1
     After her marriage, Frances Dillon was styled as Viscountess Dillon of Costello-Gallin in February 1737.

     Charles Dillon, 10th Viscount Dillon of Costello-Gallin was born in 1701.1 He was the son of Lt.-Gen. Arthur Dillon, Comte Dillon and Christina Sheldon.2 He married Frances Dillon, daughter of Richard Dillon, 9th Viscount Dillon of Costello-Gallin and Lady Bridget Bourke, on 16 January 1734/35. He died on 24 October 1741.1
     He was Colonel Proprietor of the Dillon Regiment between 1730 and 1741.1 He succeeded as the 10th Viscount Dillon of Costello-Gallin, co. Mayo [I., 1622] in February 1737.1

Lt.-Gen. Arthur Dillon, Comte Dillon1

     Lt.-Gen. Arthur Dillon, Comte Dillon was born in 1670.1 He was the son of Theobald Dillon, 7th Viscount Dillon of Costello-Gallin and Mary Talbot.2 He married Christina Sheldon, daughter of Ralph Sheldon. He died on 5 February 1732/33.1
     He was commissioned in 1690 with the rank of officer, in the service of the French Military.1 He was Colonel Proprietor of the Dillon Regiment.1 He gained the rank of Maréchal de Camp in 1705.1 He held the office of Governor of Toulon.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-General in 1706 in the French Army.1 He was awarded the Commander, Order of St. Louis of France.1 He was created Comte Dillon [France] in 1711, by King Louis XIV.1 He was appointed Knight, Order of the Thistle (K.T.) in 1715 Jacobite.1 He gained the title of Earl Dillon [England] on 24 June 1721, Jacobite.1 He has an extensive biographical entry in the Dictionary of Nationary Biography.3

     Christina Sheldon was the daughter of Ralph Sheldon.2 She married Lt.-Gen. Arthur Dillon, Comte Dillon, son of Theobald Dillon, 7th Viscount Dillon of Costello-Gallin and Mary Talbot. She died on 5 August 1757.
     She was Maid of Honour to Mary of Modena.1 Her married name became Dillon.

     Henry Dillon, 11th Viscount Dillon of Costello-Gallin was born in 1705.1 He was the son of Lt.-Gen. Arthur Dillon, Comte Dillon and Christina Sheldon.2 He married Lady Charlotte Lee, daughter of George Henry Lee, 2nd Earl of Lichfield and Frances Hales, on 26 October 1744.1 He died on 3 September 1787.1
     He held the office of Colonel Proprietor between 1741 and 1744, Dillon’s Regiment.1 He succeeded as the 11th Viscount Dillon of Costello-Gallin, co. Mayo [I., 1622] on 24 October 1741.1 He held the office of Colonel Proprietor between 1747 and 1772, Dillon’s Regiment.1

     Lady Charlotte Lee was the daughter of George Henry Lee, 2nd Earl of Lichfield and Frances Hales.1 She married Henry Dillon, 11th Viscount Dillon of Costello-Gallin, son of Lt.-Gen. Arthur Dillon, Comte Dillon and Christina Sheldon, on 26 October 1744.2 She died on 11 June 1794.2
     After her marriage, Lady Charlotte Lee was styled as Viscountess Dillon of Costello-Gallin on 26 October 1744. From 26 October 1744, her married name became Dillon.

     George Henry Lee, 2nd Earl of Lichfield was born on 12 March 1690 at St. James’s Park, St. James’s, London, EnglandG. He was the son of Edward Henry Lee, 1st Earl of Lichfield and Lady Charlotte Fitzroy. He married Frances Hales, daughter of Sir John Hales, 4th Bt. and Mary Catherine Bealing, before May 1718. He died on 13 February 1742 at age 51 at SpelsburyG.
     He gained the title of 2nd Earl of Lichfield.

Joan Scott, Viscountess Canning of Kilbrahan1

     Joan Scott, Viscountess Canning of Kilbrahan was born on 15 March 1776 at Balcomie, Fife, ScotlandG.2 She was the daughter of Maj.-Gen. John Scott and Margaret Dundas.3 She married Rt. Hon. George Canning, son of George Canning and Mary Anne Costello, on 8 July 1800 at Brook Street, St. George Hanover Square, London, EnglandG, bringing him a fortune of £100,000.3 She died on 14 March 1837 at age 60 at 10 Grosvenor Square, London, EnglandG.1 She was buried on 23 March 1837 at Westminster Abbey, Westminster, London, EnglandG.1
     She was also known as Joanna.4 From 8 July 1800, her married name became Canning. She allegedly brought her husband a fortune of £100,000.4 She was created 1st Viscountess Canning of Kilbrahan, co. Kilkenny [U.K.] on 22 January 1828, with special remainder to the male heirs of her late husband.1
