John Scott and Margaret Dundas, on 8 July 1800 at Brook Street, St. George Hanover Square, London, EnglandG, bringing him a fortune of £100,000.5 He died on 8 August 1827 at age 57 at Chiswick Villa, London, EnglandG.4 He was buried on 16 August 1827 at Westminster Abbey, Westminster, London, EnglandG.4 His will was proven (by probate) on 21 August 1827.4
