     Maj.-Gen. Henry Dillon was born on 28 June 1759.1 He was the son of Henry Dillon, 11th Viscount Dillon of Costello-Gallin and Lady Charlotte Lee.1 He married, firstly, Frances Trant, daughter of Dominick Henry Trant, on 17 April 1790.1 He married, secondly, Lucinda Matthews on 23 May 1829.2 He died on 7 July 1837 at age 78.2
     He gained the rank of Major-General in the French Army.1 He gained the rank of Colonel between 1794 and 1798 in the Dillon Regiment, The Regiment was absorbed into the Briitsh Army after the surrender of the 2nd Battalion at San Domingo.1 He gained the rank of Major-General in the British Army.1

Frances Trant

     Frances Trant was the daughter of Dominick Henry Trant. She married Maj.-Gen. Henry Dillon, son of Henry Dillon, 11th Viscount Dillon of Costello-Gallin and Lady Charlotte Lee, on 17 April 1790.1 She died on 12 October 1828.
     Her married name became Dillon.

     Maria Ann Dillon was born on 10 March 1796.1 She was the daughter of Maj.-Gen. Henry Dillon and Frances Trant.1 She married Auguste Philippe Louis Emanuel Herzog von Croÿ, son of Anne Emanuel Ferdinand Francois de Croy, Duc de Croy and Auguste Friederike Wilhelmine Prinzessin zu Salm-Kyrburg, on 5 November 1821.1 She died in 1827.1
     Her married name became von Croÿ.

     He was styled as Lord Guernsey.1 In July 1885 the House of Lords disallowed the paternity from the 7th Earl of Aylesford.1

She was the daughter of Henry Dillon, 11th Viscount Dillon of Costello-Gallin and Lady Charlotte Lee.1,2 She married Sir William Jerningham, 6th Bt., son of Sir George Jerningham, 5th Bt. and Marie Françoise Plowden, on 16 June 1767.2 She died on 1 March 1825.3
     Her married name became Jerningham.
