Theobald Dillon, 7th Viscount Dillon of Costello-Gallin1

He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Clanricarde’s Regiment of Guards in army of James II.1 He succeeded as the 7th Viscount Dillon of Costello-Gallin, co. Mayo [I., 1622] in October 1682.1 In 1688 he reformed the Dillon Regiment into two battalions.1 On 11 May 1691 he was attainted.1 He fought in the Battle of Aughrim on 12 July 1691.1 On 20 June 1694 his attainder was reversed.1
