     Abel Smith was born on 17 July 1788.² He was the son of Samuel Smith and Elizabeth Frances Turnor.² He married, firstly, Lady Marianne Leslie-Melville, daughter of Alexander Leslie-Melville, 9th Earl of Leven and Jane Thornton, on 28 August 1822.³ He married, secondly, Frances Anne Calvert, daughter of General Sir Harry Calvert, 1st Bt. and Caroline Hammersley, on 12 July 1826.¹ He died on 3 February 1859 at age 70.¹
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.)¹ He lived at Woodhall Park, Hertfordshire, England^G.¹

     Eugenia Chatfield was born on 11 September 1803.¹ She was the daughter of Reverend Robert Chatfield and Susannah Money.¹ She married Samuel George Smith, son of Samuel Smith and Elizabeth Frances Turnor, on 4 July 1821.¹ She died on 5 January 1838 at age 34.¹
     From 4 July 1821, her married name became Smith.¹

     Samuel George Smith was born on 5 June 1822.¹ He was the son of Samuel George Smith and Eugenia Chatfield.¹ He died on 6 July 1900 at age 78.¹

     Harriet Mathilda Pym was born on 10 June 1839.¹ She was the daughter of Francis Pym and Lady Jane Elizabeth Leslie-Melville.¹ She married Frederic Chatfield Smith, son of Samuel George Smith and Eugenia Chatfield, on 3 June 1858.¹ She died on 9 August 1914 at age 75.¹
     From 3 June 1858, her married name became Smith.¹

     Lucy Catherine Baxter married Edward Gambier Pym, son of Reverend William Wollaston Pym and Sophia Rose Gambier.¹
     Her married name became Pym.¹

     Katherine Maud Smith was born on 19 March 1861 at Bramcote Hall, Nottinghamshire, England^G.¹ She was the daughter of Frederic Chatfield Smith and Harriet Mathilda Pym.¹ She died on 13 December 1916 at age 55.¹

     Cecil Leslie Smith was born on 9 July 1862 at Bramcote Hall, Nottinghamshire, England^G.¹ He was the son of Frederic Chatfield Smith and Harriet Mathilda Pym.¹ He died on 13 April 1864 at age 1 at Bramcote Hall, Nottinghamshire, England^G.¹

     Ethel Marion Smith was born on 13 November 1865 at Bramcote Hall, Nottinghamshire, England^G.¹ She was the daughter of Frederic Chatfield Smith and Harriet Mathilda Pym.¹ She died on 2 January 1949 at age 83 at Surbiton, Surrey, England^G.¹

     Lilian Mary Smith was born on 3 September 1867 at Bramcote Hall, Nottinghamshire, England^G.¹ She was the daughter of Frederic Chatfield Smith and Harriet Mathilda Pym.¹ She died on 19 June 1909 at age 41.¹

     Rosamund Lucy Smith was born on 4 June 1869 at Bramcote Hall, Nottinghamshire, England^G.¹ She was the daughter of Frederic Chatfield Smith and Harriet Mathilda Pym.¹ She married Jeffrey Charles St. Quintin on 15 October 1903.¹ She died on 31 October 1934 at age 65.²
     From 15 October 1903, her married name became St. Quintin.¹
