John Ronald Campbell, on 15 February 1912.¹ He died on 8 May 1916 at age 36 at McMurdo Sound, Antarctica.^1,2
     He was with the P&O Line between 1895 and 1907.² Between 1907 and 1909 he accompanied Sir Ernest Shackleton on his Antarctic Expeditions where he lost an eye.¹ In 1914 he accompanied Sir Ernest Shackleton on his Antarctic Expeditions where he led a sledging party command to lay depots for Shackleton and his party, but during it he lost his life.¹
